Happy Splashes: A Thank You Celebration Filled with Fun

avatar

Last Sunday was not just about swimming. It was our way of saying thank you to our hardworking personnel who helped us in the renovation of our Kingdom Hall.

‎We traveled at the Casita de Familia on our e-bike.

‎My two boys, Aiden and Ryzen, were excited, or is it me who was mooore excited? Lol.

‎Anyways, as we arrived at the venue, it was lunchtime, so everyone started preparing the dishes they brought.

‎From us, we brought lumpia, which disappeared in just minutes. 🫣

‎I just poured the sauce into a bowl, and after coming back, only four pieces were left. 🥹

‎But that's okay, it only meant everyone liked it.

‎There were still plenty of delicious dishes like pork humba, laing, fried chicken, and more.

‎Before we started eating, we had a group photo.

‎It's always mandatory as everyone loves freezing the moment.

‎After lunch, it was finally time to swim.

‎Aiden and Ryzen couldn't wait.

‎The pool was filled with so many kids.

‎It didn't even have time to be vacant.

‎There were also games prepared, including a sack race.

‎Two groups with equal participants need to compete by hopping inside sacks until they reach the finish line and back.

‎It's so fun to look at, though a little risky since some could fall on their knees.

‎Still, everyone enjoyed it.

‎After that, another game was played. It was the water relay race.

‎This time, the challenge was to transfer water from a pail to a cup placed in front of each team.

‎And the twist is, you just have to scoop the water using your hands.

‎Everyone ran carefully but quickly, trying not to spill too much water before reaching their team's cup.

‎In the end, the team that first filled their cup won.

‎And as a prize, they got handed chips and snacks. 🤗

‎We also played Batuhang Bola.

‎This game is known locally here in the Philippines.

‎The goal is to eliminate all members of the opposing team by hitting them with a ball.

‎Once you're struck, you're out.

‎But if you catch the ball, you gain an extra life.

‎You can keep it for yourself or use it to save a teammate. It depends on your strategy.

‎One unexpected star during the game was Cardo... The youngest kid in the group.

‎Because he was small, it became his greatest advantage not to be hit.

‎It became so funny to watch. And in the end... He was the last one standing. ☺️✨

‎Wohoo!! 🥳

‎Our activities continued until night, but I'll share those in my next post.

‎Until my next stories...

Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸

Yeah... Better consider an e-bike as it is very practical and cost-efficient. 🤗
