Tagaytay Time! People's Park in the Sky and Taal Lake!
Hello my friends! Quite some time has passed since I have written my last post, but now I am here again visiting Hive to share more stories about my vacation in the Philippines!
People's Park in the Sky
And here we go... I am here in Tagaytay, in the People's Park in The Sky! I can say that Tagaytay is a really good place, especially the weather... I like the cool weather in Tagaytay. Tagaytay is not crowded and it's so peaceful to walk there at night as well. It's the first time I have been able to experience this amazing place. And one of the many attractions I had noted on my list was to visit the People's Park in the Sky. Some people I asked said that this park is the highest place in the whole city with a great view on the Taal Lake (in the large caldera of the still active Taal Volcano) which I was so curious to see! And yes, I enjoyed the place and of course the fantastic view...
And now just enjoy my pictures of the People's Park in the Sky and the view on Taal Lake!

Do you like these views on the Taal Lake and the surrounding landscape?

I really loved the food in Tagaytay so I decided at least to do a little bit for my fitness. :-)

Volcano Island recorded via zoom.

Taal Lake from near!
But I had not yet seen enough from Taal Lake! I wanted to go and see the lake from close up... And here I am and lucky I also brought swimwear... hehe... The resort has a swimming pool where one can swim or rest.
Unfortunately, it is not recommended to swim in the lake itself because of several safety issues. But the good thing is I got the experience to see the lake with the Volcano Island near its middle, and I was really amazed how big it is... So beautiful!!!
I am here on the shore of Taal Lake with a view of Volcano Island.

Here I am lying on a lounge chair by the resort's swimming pool. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of myself swimming.

The combination there is absolutely stunning! But the mountain in the middle of the lake is unbelievable!
You look confident in your outfit!
Anyway, you can check out Worldmappin community to share your more travel journey 😊
Yes, Tagaytay is a special place — a bit cooler due to the high altitude, the soil is fertile from volcanic ash, the landscape is breathtakingly beautiful, and on top of that, there’s that volcanic lake...
Thank you so much, @anggreklestari!
A volcano within a volcano, with a shimmering lake within the lake! Truly, taal is a wonder of nature. This stunning location attracted countless tourists eager to witness its beauty before its eruption. Access to the area has been restricted for safety reasons due to the ongoing volcanic activity and the wisp of smoke rising, which is nerve-wracking from its depths. As magma continues to churn beneath the surface, the possibility of another future eruption looms. It’s fantastic to hear that you still had an enjoyable experience while exploring the region despite these circumstances! Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience with Taal @gen-quimba. Looking forward to hearing from you more about your journey.
It's really an amazing and fascinating location! Thank you for your nice and very interesting comment, @diosarich!
No biggie. Continue to share your Hive journey and enjoy.💖 God speed.🌷
Hey, @gen-quimba as I swing around your posts, I came to know that you are also from Mindanao. Nice to meet you here, kabayan! I was born in Davao de Oro but we settled in Davao City but I am based in Laguna. I am planning to go back to Davao City for good. Where are you now? Hoping to connecting to you one of these days. God speed.🌷🕊️
Currently I am again in Maragusan visiting my parents. I extended my vacation in the Philippines because my older sister passed away because of cancer and I felt my family needs me now.
But probably on June 16 I will go back to Hong Kong where I am working as Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW). My contract runs until October 14, 2025. I am not yet sure what comes after that...
Yes, looking forward to meet you one day, @diosarich! 😊
I am sorry to hear about your sister. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I know how hard it is to lose someone in the family. I also lost my youngest kid a year and a half ago. It pained me so much; only his memories live on. But life has to go on.
I'm looking forward to seeing you when I get back to Davao City @gen-quimba, and you'll be in the Philippines by that time, too. See you around! God bless.🌷🕊️
