Nowadays Manila Bay is really clean!

It's amazing how beautiful Manila Bay is nowadays after some cleanup! I still remember when this place was sadly known for a lot of trash. Now, as you can see in my pictures, the area is so clean and inviting. The baywalk has become the perfect place to stay for a while, go for a jog, bike, or simply enjoy some relaxing time by the water.

Manila Bay should serve as a model for the rest of the city: we should make the effort to keep our environment clean to increase the quality of life!

A Bit About Manila Bay:

Historical Harbor: This natural harbor has been the gateway to the Philippines for centuries and was the site of a major naval battle in 1898 (see below).

"The Battle for Manila Bay" (referring to the Battle of Manila Bay 1898, during the Spanish–American War): The dramatic cleanup is the result of a massive, ongoing government and community rehabilitation program launched in 2019. It's a testament to what focused environmental effort can achieve.

More Than a View: While the famous sunset is a daily draw, the bay is also crucial for fishing, transportation, and supporting local ecosystems.
