Beer Tasting ๐Ÿบ La Chouffe Blonde ๐Ÿบ TAZ Tasmanian Ale

Hello, beer lovers! ๐Ÿป

It's a sunny Saturday here, and I've been outside almost all day. But I haven't done anything useful. I see people around me grabbing things, cleaning, tidying up, and someone might say that I'm falling behind again. No, I'm not in the right mood yet; right now, I enjoy my walks the most, and there will be time for work later :)
And, at the end of the day, a beer or two - now's the time for it!

Today, for the 453rd #beersaturday, I have two bottles in front of me, one French and one Belgian, and I can't wait to empty them, and share my beer experience with you.

๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿป

First, the one with less alcohol.

TAZ Tasmanian Ale

Brewed by Brasserie du Singe Savant, Lille, Hauts-de-France, France.
Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 5.1% ABV, IBU 40. Australian Pale Ale style.

What do the Master Brewers say?

This amber beer has a fruity sweetness reminiscent of blackberries and wild berries. Taz is a refreshing beer with vegetal notes: malting focused on biscuit notes gives it a rich and light body, perfect for welcoming back the sunny days. It differs from classic ales by being infused with Tasmanian berries, giving it a fruity sweetness reminiscent of blackberries and wild berries. A beautiful balance between bitterness and a subtly peppery sweetness. In short, imagine a Tasmanian devil on a detox diet.

I don't know the brewery; I got this beer as a gift. I like the last sentence - "imagine a Tasmanian devil on a detox diet", haha :)

The beer is amber in color, with a solid, persistent head. It smells of tropical fruit. It goes down smoothly, and I first taste a slight sweetness, blackberries, and then increasing bitterness.
The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste for some time.

A drinkable and tasty beer!
I was expecting a sweeter fruit flavor, which I don't like, but it wasn't there. Just the right balance, with increasing bitterness towards the end. Apparently, this is Tasmanian pepper. A slightly different bitterness than hops, more herbal and dry.
A unique and interesting beer, I got it as a gift; it costs around โ‚ฌ5 in France. It's not available here.

๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿป

I mentioned gifts. This is still waiting for me, directly from France :)

La Chouffe Blonde

Brewed by Brasserie d'Achouffe, Houffalize, Rรฉgion Wallonne, Belgium.
Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 8.0%, IBU 20. Strong Belgian Ale style.

What do the Master Brewers say?

The gnomes of Fairyland are particularly fond of this golden beer. LA CHOUFFE, with its slight hoppy taste, combining notes of fresh coriander and fruity tones, is the drink which gives them their zest for life. At least, that's what these imps say when they are thirsty. Their secret used to be jealously guarded from one generation to the next until the day they shared the recipe with humans to seal their friendship.

I discovered this brewery years ago, its beers are complex, I'm already looking forward to it. Actually, I'm most interested in how much alcohol you can taste. Whether it dominates or not.

The beer is light brown, amber in color, with a solid, creamy, and persistent head. It has a herbal aroma. It goes down smoothly, with a sweetness in the mouth, hints of citrus, a slight burn, probably from the alcohol, which continues into a herbal bitterness, coriander.
In the aftertaste, everything disappears except for the spiciness, which is not very pronounced.

The beer is drinkable and refreshing.
A classic Belgian strong ale, with a subtle, minimal herbal bitterness, balanced and drinkable, without excessive alcohol aggressiveness. It is available in some stores in Slovenia, at E.Leclerc it costs โ‚ฌ3.15.

And what am I listening to when writing this and tasting beer? Something from Friday's #newtunes. Psych rock, flamenco, and Latin!

La Chouffe is one of my favorite brands. I treated myself with the IPA tonight, but I also like the blonde, d'hiver (winter) and soleil (summer) beers.

La Chouffe is fine with me, too, but I've never had more than one a day. It's too strong for me to drink every day :)

I don't drink every day. I drink my specialty beer in the weekend and take my time to drink it.

Hey friend, I'm more of a coffee drinker, but a beer now and then is nice. I wasn't familiar with this one you shared, and I find the name and label design interesting; it makes it unique, and it's dark too. How many of those beers can you drink in a day? @seckorama

How many beers I drink depends on several things:
How much alcohol does it contain? If it contains a lot and isn't well-brewed, you feel it very quickly.
If I don't like the taste, I don't drink the whole thing.
I don't usually drink beer every day, but I do drink coffee every day, two or three cups a day :)
