Augustiner Lagerbier Hell

Augustiner feels like the most liked and most hated beer in Germany. You can get it at almost every petrol station and somehow every kebab shop has it in the fridge.Das Augustiner ist Gefühlt bei uns, das meist gemochte und meist gehasste Bier. Es gibt dieses Helle fast an jeder Tankstelle und irgendwie hat es jeder Dönerladen im Kühlschrank stehen.
I also drink it from time to time, but only when there is no better alternative.Auch ich trinke es ab und zu, allerdings nur wenn es keine bessere Alternative gibt.

The foam is not really worth mentioning. The Augustiner really can't score with that. It was more like washing-up liquid. Very coarse, which surprised me a little. I have to admit at this point that I always drink this full-bodied beer from the bottle and never really from a jug. For me, it's just a snack bar beer. But the foam quality test is clear.Der Schaum ist es nicht wirklich wert, erwähnt zu werden. Damit kann das Augustiner wirklich nicht punkten. Es hatte eher was von Spülmittel. Sehr grobpoorig. Das hat mich etwas überrascht. Ich muss an dieser Stelle zugeben, dass ich dieses Vollbier immer aus der Flasche trinke und nie richtig aus einem Krug. Es ist für mich halt ein Imbissbuden Bier. Der Schaum Qualitätstest ist aber eindeutig.

In terms of taste, it is simply a full-bodied beer. I can't really say that it stands out from the crowd. But it's not bad either.Geschmacktlich ist es einfach ein Vollbier. Ich kann jetzt nicht wirklich sagen, dass es aus der Masse heraussticht. Aber schlecht ist es jetzt auch nicht.

I give it a well-intentioned 7 out of 10 BEERSATURDAY points. It's just a traditional brewery from Munich and that alone is worth a lot to me.Ich gebe gut gemeinte 7 von 10 BEERSATURDAY Punkten. Es ist halt eine Traditionsbrauerei aus München und alleine das ist für mich schon viel wert.
In the end, however, it remains a snack bar or station beer for me. Cheers!Am Ende bleibt es für mich aber ein Imbissbuden oder Bahnhofsbier. Prost!

Indeed. I guess it is to famouse here. They simple don´t have to make it better.
