🇪🇸 ~ Hace unos días renové mi rutina de skincare, cambié a una marca "aparentemente" más simple pero los resultados me han sorprendido y por eso me he animado a compartir esta nota muy a pesar de lo "trillado o frívolo" que pueda resultar el tema en comparación a otras propuestas mas interesantes a los que estamos acostumbrados en este rinconcito de la blockchain.
🇺🇸 ~ A few days ago, I changed my skincare routine and switched to a supposedly simpler brand. The results surprised me, which is why I decided to write this article. I know the subject may seem trivial or frivolous compared to other, more interesting topics we usually discuss in this corner of the blockchain.

Para comenzar, siempre he tenido buena piel, no tuve crisis de acné en la adolescencia y cicatrizo casi cualquier herida sin dejar marcas, pero el sol siempre me ha afectado mal y me quemo con facilidad, por esos motivos mi skincare por años estuvo basado en cremas humectantes, y aclarantes (y de vez en cuando alguna limpiadora o exfoliante suave) y nada mas.
To begin with, I've always had good skin, I didn't have acne crisis in adolescence and I heal almost any wound without leaving marks, but the sun has always affected me badly and I burn easily, for those reasons my skincare for years was based on moisturizers and clarifying creams (and from time to time some cleanser or gentle exfoliant) and nothing else.
Las marcas de exfoliantes cambiaron con el tiempo, cualquiera con base de avena funciona y si es artesanal mejor, y más adelante comencé a buscar la etiqueta de "carbón activado" sin falta. Para las cremas aclarantes, pase de las que contenían concha de nácar y rosa mosqueta, a baba de caracol, y finalmente cuando comenzaron a escasear, me quedé con la Crema Facial Pond's Antimanchas Clarant B3 y Crema Facial Nivea Cuidado 5 en 1 Radiante y Uniforme, muy fáciles de conseguir.
The exfoliating scrub brands changed over time. Any oat-based one works, and handmade is even better. Later on, I started looking for the "activated charcoal" label. As for lightening creams, I switched from those containing mother-of-pearl and rosehip to snail slime. Finally, when snail slime creams became scarce, I stuck with Pond's Clarant B3 Anti-Blemish Facial Cream and Nivea 5-in-1 Radiant and Uniform Care Facial Cream, which are very easy to get.
Con ambas obtuve resultados favorables, pero tienen un denominador común: Arden. Ambas me causaban un ardor pequeño pero molesto en la piel, y tambien en los ojos aunque la aplique lejos del parpado y el lagrimal. Me explicaron que la crema Nivea era muy abrasiva y se aplica inter diario y no por tiempo prolongado, en eso seguro me equivoqué, pero la Pond´s sí la usaba solo antes de dormir y también sentía ardor... y como dice el empaque, suspenda su uso si observa una reacción desfavorable.
I had favorable results with both, but they have one thing in common: Both caused minor, yet irritating, burning sensations on my skin and in my eyes, even though I applied them far from my eyelids and tear ducts. It was explained to me that the Nivea cream was very abrasive and should only be applied intermittently and not for a prolonged period of time. I was wrong about that for sure, but I also felt burning when I used the Pond's cream, even though I only used it before going to sleep... an as the package says, suspend use if you notice an unfavorable reaction.

Cuando los últimos envases que compré se acabaron me olvide por un tiempo del tema skincare, no solo porque ya no sabía qué comprar sino porque me da pereza investigar, quiero decir, hay tantas opciones en el mercado que termino sobresaturada y confundida, y las cremas para el rostro son costosas así que es una inversión que sí te duele si te equivocas.

Estando en su casa hicimos unas pruebas y como no tuve reacciones negativas (no me ardían la piel ni los ojos) di un salto de fé y aquí estamos, pero fue un salto de fé pequeño, no uno a lo loco. La yo de hace unos años hubiera comprado la linea completa pero la yo de hoy un poco mas precavida compró solo lo esencial para probar, sin abusar de mi buena suerte.

Así, al menos por ahora, cambié las cremas Pond´s y Nivea que me hacían lagrimear los ojos, por cremas de la marca ZOAH, que curiosamente resultaron ser de fabricación nacional (impactada), aunque eso explica su precio, cuando las probé imaginaba que costarían lo mismo que las cremas anteriores o un poco más.
So, at least for now, I switched from the Pond's and Nivea creams that made my eyes water to ZOAH brand creams, which, curiously, turned out to be nationally manufactured (I was shocked), although that explains the price. When I tried them, I thought they would cost the same as or a little more than the previous creams.

I also purchased the BACC facial scrub because I couldn't find the "St. Ives Gentle Smoothing, scrub & mask oatmeal", which is my favorite (this one from BACC is quite strong. Otros 2 productos que incluí en mi nueva rutina es "la crema de día y noche de BACC, renovador celular con acido hialurónico" pero para usarla solo en cuello y escote (es super ligera pero a la vez bastante grasa, no me gustó del todo para el rostro y me hace llorar un poco igual que las cremas anteriores), y para tomar también compré capsulas de colágeno y vitamina c.
Two more products that I included in my new routine are the "BACC Day and Night Cream Cellular Renewal with Hyaluronic Acid", but I only use it on my neck and décolleté. It is super light but quite greasy. I didn't like it at all for my face, and it makes my eyes water a little, just like the previous creams. I also bought collagen and vitamin C capsules.
Me queda pendiente adquirir el protector solar y un serum, aunque no me emociona demasiado pero mis amigas insisten en que lo necesito por el sol tan intenso que estamos sufriendo, y se que tienen razón. Por ahora estoy muy contenta con este cambio de marcas, ZOAH dice ser vegano, libre de crueldad animal (igual que BACC) y de parabenos. No he presentado reacciones alérgicas, irritaciones ni sensación de ardor, todo lo contrario, mi rostro se siente terso y estoy esperando se cumplan 40 días de tratamiento continuo para comparar el antes y el después apropiadamente 💙 🧴 💅
I'm still waiting to buy sunscreen and a serum. I'm not too excited, but my friends insist that I need them because of the intense sun, and I know they're right. For now, I am very happy with this brand change. ZOAH claims to be vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben-free, just like BACC. I have not experienced any allergic reactions, irritations, or burning sensations. Quite the contrary, my face feels smooth. I am waiting 40 days of continuous treatment to properly compare the before and after 💙 🧴 💅

Que buena reseña , cada piel es un mundo, a mi me han dado redacciones cremas antialérgicas y otras con fragancias no, así que bueno siempre puede pasar, si te digo estoy súper sorprendida con la marca de zoah ,son muy buenos y le han metido muchísimo al tema del marketing , siempre hacen campañas y comparten información en sus cuentas de Instagram por si gustas de seguirlos por allí, a veces hay que darle más visilidad a la producción nacional cuando tienen productos que valen la pena sobre todo por lo accesibles que son .

Te lei y fui corriendo a Instagram y me quede raaaato viendo los post de la cuenta de la marca, es algo grande y no lo sabia, me da mucha pena porque hace poquitos dias hubo Expo Farmatodo en mi ciudad y conchale, me siento mal de no haber sabido a tiempo para poder asistir, porque enserio estoy muy contenta y emocionada por los resultados y eso que solo compre 2 cremas por precaución.
Los productos Venezolanos son buenos pero tristemente aun queda mucho que depurar de viejas creencias populares tipo, que lo importado es mejor, pero no, aquí se hacen cosas muy buenas pero hay que apoyar (chocolate Savoy y productos Mavesa nunca me falten por favor).
Ya los sigo y también comenté, estoy en modo fangirl 😂 💖 💖 💖
