The rain is coming 🌧️ La lluvia está llegando

It had been almost three months since I had been to this mountain. Forest fires in almost the entire country have been strong during the dry season that recently ended, and many landscapes suffered extensive burns, including this place.

Hacía casi tres meses que no iba a esta montaña. Los incendios forestales en casi todo el país han estado fuertes durante la temporada de sequía que terminó recientemente, y muchos paisajes sufrieron grandes quemaduras, entre ellos este lugar.

Despite the efforts of the park rangers, unscrupulous people start fires that spread due to the action of the wind and it is very difficult to control the flames. Many plants planted to reforest are lost, and animals are also displaced or die due to these acts of vandalism against nature.

A pesar de los esfuerzos de los guardaparques, personas inescrupulosas inician incendios que se propagan por la acción del viento y es muy difícil controlar las llamas. Muchas plantas sembradas para reforestar se pierden, y también los animales son desplazados o mueren a causa de estos actos de vandalismo contra la naturaleza.

That's why it's a relief that the rains have already arrived. A large part of these mountains had their soils black from the fire, without any vegetation, but as soon as a little water fell, within a few days everything began to turn green. Its power of regeneration is truly incredible.

Por eso es un alivio que ya hayan llegado las lluvias. Gran parte de estas montañas tenían sus suelos negros por el fuego, sin nada de vegetación, pero apenas cayó un poco de agua, a los pocos días todo empezó a reverdecer. Su poder de regeneración es realmente increíble.

Although climbing the mountain during the rainy season may not be the most advisable, feeling the freshness in the environment is very pleasant, and also seeing how the landscape comes to life again.

Aunque subir la montaña durante la temporada de lluvias quizás no sea lo más recomendable, sentir la frescura que hay en el ambiente es muy agradable, y también ver cómo el paisaje cobra vida de nuevo.

I like to go very early in the morning. I reach a certain height and stay there for a while doing some stretching, breathing deeply and contemplating.

A mi me gusta ir muy temprano en la mañana. Llego hasta cierta altura y allí me quedo un rato haciendo algunos estiramientos, respirando profundo y contemplando.

And of course, on these hikes I also do another one of my favorite things: taking photos. How could I possibly miss a tree like this, for example?

Y por supuesto, en estas excursiones también hago otra de mis cosas favoritas: tomar fotos. ¿Cómo perderme, por ejemplo, un árbol como este?
