Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I was looking through my photo gallery and found these beautiful pictures that I wanted to share today on TBT Thursday. One wonderful thing about photographs is that they transport us back to those happy moments in our lives, especially when they involve our loved ones.

Last year, my daughter participated in a school activity with her classmates. In this activity, they had to dress up in old-fashioned clothes to commemorate a national holiday in my country, specifically April 19, 1810, the date when the first step toward Venezuelan independence was taken. But beyond learning about history, they also wanted to revive the customs of young people and how they dressed.

As explained in their presentation at the time, ladies dressed exclusively in dresses, the shortest of which were approximately just below the knees. They wore hats, gloves, and a variety of accessories to adorn themselves, and to gather their hair, they used a comb very similar to a comb with large teeth.
Gentlemen wore suits and jackets, tight trousers, vests, ties, and neckerchiefs. Honestly, elegance was paramount at that time.

At that time, there were no color photos, only black and white cameras. So the photo section also had to be in keeping with the period, and they were taken in black and white, resulting in some beautiful photos.

To create this work, the young people had to use their creativity and search their closets or ask their grandmothers for clothing that they could adapt to the era they wanted to represent. It was not easy for them to find this type of clothing, so they had to be resourceful to make it as similar as possible to the actual costumes.

My daughter wore her First Communion dress, a red hat, and a long necklace. She looked beautiful, and I loved seeing her like that. The fashion of that era emphasized femininity much more; women had a very elegant bearing, and so did the gentlemen in their suits.

After her presentation, photos were taken in our town square, with the churches and a beautiful villa in the background, which created the perfect backdrop for the photos. It's nice that my community also seems to have stopped in time.

Encouraging these activities among young people is a great success. It helps them develop their creativity and their sense of belonging by learning about their roots, discovering their talents, and getting away from their daily routine. Overall, it was a very nice project, and I really enjoyed supporting them and, as always, being there for my daughter. She enjoyed it, and everyone had a lot of fun and learned a lot, while also teaching us a little more about our history.

¡Hola, amigos! Espero que todos estén muy bien. Estaba revisando mi galería y encontré estas bellas fotos que quise compartir el día de hoy en los jueves de TBT. Algo maravilloso que tienen las fotografías es que nos trasladan a esos momentos gratos de tu vida y sobre todo si se trata de nuestros seres queridos.

El año pasado mi hija participo en una actividad escolar que realizó junto a sus compañeros de clases, en esta actividad tenían que vestirse como en los tiempos de antaño o tiempos pasados, para conmemorar una fecha patria en mi país, específicamente el 19 de abril de 1810 fecha en la que se dio el primer paso de la independencia venezolana. Pero más allá de conocer de historia, también querían revivir las costumbres de los jóvenes y cómo era su forma de vestir.

Según explicaron en su exposición para la época la forma de vestir de las damas era únicamente con vestidos lo más corto era aproximadamente un poco más abajo de las rodillas, utilizaban sombreros, guantes, variedad de accesorios que les adornaba, para recoger su cabello utilizaba una peineta muy parecida a un peine por sus dientes grandes.
Los caballeros vestían con trajes y chaquetas, pantalones ceñidos, chalecos, corbatas y pañoletas. Sinceramente, la elegancia era primordial en esa época.

En esa época tampoco existían fotos a color y solo existían las cámaras en blanco y negro. Así que la sección de fotos también tenía que estar acorde y las tomaron en blanco y negro, logrando unas fotos preciosas.

Para realizar esta obra los jóvenes tuvieron que hacer trabajar su creatividad y buscar en sus closets o pedir a sus abuelas vestimenta que pudieran adaptar a la época que querían representar, no fue nada fácil para ellos conseguir este tipo de ropa por lo que se la tuvieron que ingeniar para que si no era exactamente el vestuario quedará lo más parecido posible.

Mi hija usó su vestido de primera comunión, un sombrero rojo y un collar largo. Se veía hermosa, me encantó tanto verla así. La moda de esa época resaltaba mucho más la feminidad, las mujeres tenían un porte muy elegante y los caballeros también con esos trajes de vestir.

Después de su presentación, se tomaron fotos en la plaza de nuestro pueblo, al fondo se ve la iglesias y un bello chalet, esto creo el fondo perfecto para las fotos y bueno es que mi comunidad parece que también se detuvo en el tiempo.

Fomentar estas actividades en los jóvenes, representa un gran acierto, les ayuda a desarrollar su creatividad, su sentimiento de pertenencia al conocer sus raíces, a descubrir sus talentos y salir un poco también de lo cotidiano. En general fue una obra muy bonita y me gustó mucho apoyarlos y como siempre estar ahí presente para mi hija. Ella se lo disfrutó y todos se divirtieron mucho y aprendieron también, al mismo tiempo que nos enseñaban un poco más de nuestra historia.

Las fotos quedaron hermosas, me gustaron mucho y los felicito, lo hicieron muy bien. Excelente.
