PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape - Winter Sun On Southbank.
Hey everyone!
I've been out and about around London again, looking for random places to take off from.
Just outside Waterloo Station is a small park just outside of the FRZ for Hyde Park.
The famous Old Vic Theatre is nearby so I snapped some images!
Due to the footprint orientation, the sun will never shine on the fron facade but luckily as it is painted white, the detail doesn't get lost too much. Hopefully in the long summer months the sun will be around long enough to illuminate it!
Looking down a well known side street known for entertainment venues and lively restaurant scene. Unfortunately the sun was shining directly down it towards the camera at the time!
Walking north east towards the river, One Blackfriars is an apartment block with prime central London views. The golden glow of the sun reflecting off the glass was magical.
I took off from a park attached to a church which is next to unused land so I wasn't bothering too many people!
I also knew there is clear airspace next to the Tate Modern on South Bank so I went to have a gander.
Turns out my timing was perfect as the low winter sun was just about kissing the top of the observation deck and the tower.
