PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape - The Many Faces Of The Shard.
Hey everyone!
Back with another pocket of free airspace close to the centre of London. This time, I headed to a quiet area outside of the Vinegar Yard street food market near the Shard. I had planned to take off closer but happened across a quiet side street as most shops were closed around that time. Also in hindsight, I wouldn't have been able to get a full height shot from there anyway!
Ideally I wanted to capture some of the seasonal lights that the venue switches too at the end of the year but weather was not on my side leading up to the 25th.
I settled for new years eve eve, which seemed to have some random light patterns mixed in with festive ones. I also presumed the pattern could change to '26' for the new year.

Some were were slow wipes and fades of solid colours from bottom to the top whilst others were shapes.
Some landmarks are clearly visible from here - St Pauls, BT Tower being the most notable.

I'm still in the camp of realistic editing and not overblown and saturated like many influencers seem to like. However, for night shots I am coming around to the slightly saturated look as seen in picture three. What are your thoughts?
Until the next time!
