At an exclusive auction, an ivory statue from India was sold before I successfully outbid the Treasurer and a rival for the rare dragon hairpin costing 500 dirham. Denied entry to the Treasurer's chamber without an Ivory Coin brooch, I bribed a local lady for vital information.
At the auction, the first on the exclusive list was a stunning statue from India, made of ivory and crafted by the finest artisans, which was sold to a lovely lady as she won the bidding.
And for the next item, they had a one-of-a-kind eternal beauty, a hairpin hails from the east, which was the hairpin Basim was there for to find the Treasurer.
There came the Treasurer, who was a lady, to bid for this hairpin and collect the treasure for her, so she started bidding on it knowing no one can bear her at the auction.
After the Treasurer graced the event with her presence, Basim started bidding as per my command to stay in the running for the prize, along with one more bidder for the same item.
Another man did a bid above me, and I had to try a bigger one, and I got the hairpin without knowing it'd be this easy. Though I had to spend my hard earned (mostly stolen, lol) money on the item.
When the host was announcing the hairpin was sold to me, the Treasurer was so angry, though I was confused as she didn't raise the bid, cause he was known to collect anything she likes.
After getting the hairpin for 500 dirham, I had to gain an audience with the Treasurer, but I found a guard refusing a man from entering the chamber, mentioning only members of the Ivory Coin with a brooch are allowed to enter.
Yeah, I tried my luck as well but I got the same answer.
Now I had to find out where to obtain the Ivory Coin's brooch to get an audience with the Treasurer, and I got help from this lady after offering her 150 dirham to bribe and got some intel about the guild.
She told me the Ivory Coin is an exclusive merchant's guild, and they have a brooch that grants access to certain places. Mentioning only respected merchants are part of the Ivory Coin, and I can only be invited by another member.
