I Have ALMOST Beaten Hades!! ✊

With the announcement of Hades 2 dropping for the Switch 2, I decided to go back to the original game!

Hades is a wonderful top-down perspective game that explores the lush universe of Greek mythology. You, the player, are Zagreus, whose only intention is to escape Hades' Underworld. Will you succeed in your endeavor?...

So, I have actually never beaten Hades before! My first (and last) time playing was about 3 years ago, and after 22 attempts, I had still only made it as far as Elysium. Then it got placed on the back burner, I started playing other games, and I simply never got back around to playing it...

Until recently! 😈 I found it in my games collection -- before the Switch 2 had been announced, actually 😄 -- and nostalgia made me yearn to pick it up once again.

I wanted to share some of the screenshots that I have collected throughout my journey(s) thus far. Please have a look! 🙏

(The very first dialogue scene between father and son :') This is the player's first time meeting Hades)

(Looking out onto the Underworld... As of right now, I have cleared the Temple of Styx and have made it to the boss fight with Hades)

(Finally clearing Tartarus and making it to Asphodel)

(Meeting Eurydice! I did a bit of research and discovered that she is the muse of Orpheus. I truly hope the two get to meet again!)

(The dreaded Minotaur...)

(Chaos is one of my favorite characters to encounter in the Underworld. I have obtained his Cosmic Egg gift so that I no longer have to give up some of my health to meet him! 👍)

(The fight between Zagreus and Megaera. Apparently the two had something going on? 😏)

(An altercation between Olympus and the Underworld...)

(I've never made it this far! 😀 This was the boss fight between Zagreus vs. the Minotaur AND Theseus)

(I'm honestly so glad that I didn't have to fight Cerberus 😩🙏 that would have made for quite an awkward trip back home...)

(What I assume is the final boss battle, between Zagreus and Hades...)

(Unfortunately I lost 😅 Miserably, at that! And of course, Hypnos had something to say upon my arrival back home!)

That is it for now! 🙏 Of course I plan on having another go at it. ...But being able to pick up the upgrades that I had, may have been a once in a lifetime opportunity 😭 In the meantime, please wish me luck! 🙏 And thank you for reading!
