CCC's Street Art Contest # 316 "Deep Blue Eyes" - Nathsice & Bixa_Blu- Alcântara, Portugal

Good evening, friends!

Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!

Another weekend is just around the corner!

The way time flies these days never ceases to amaze me... We end up going about our lives almost automatically, on autopilot (pardon the redundancy and stylistic pleonasm), and we only notice it when we’re switching to a different mode.

And that’s exactly what happened to me this week. I just drifted through the week, barely noticing the days passing by. Of course, every day was different. That’s not what I’m talking about. Monday was unique, just like every other day of the week, and even though they were all different from one another, it wasn’t enough to take my mind off my eagerness for the weekend to arrive.

Tomorrow I’m going to see a performance by one of the most renowned orchestras in our country. The concert will be outdoors, at a place I’ve been to before, and where I’ve shared that same experience with you here.

Today was quite different from the rest of the week in terms of the weather. Yesterday was a real summer day, with temperatures reaching 41º in the Lisbon area. All I wanted to do was go to the beach and take a dip in the ocean! Our friend pardinus did the right thing by taking a week off, and he made the most of that day, as you can see in the latest post on his personal blog—which I also shared.

I hope tomorrow isn’t so filled with those dark, heavy clouds that threaten to unleash their precious load… But if it does happen, I won’t be any sadder or more frustrated because of it! After all, there’s always a good reason why I’ll get caught in the rain! Wish me luck!

Now I’m going to share my usual weekly post for the street art community, as part of my entry in the contest hosted by digi-me!

This week I’ll continue sharing two more works by two artists—this time, both from Mexico—who bring a striking color and presence.

Their strong inspiration is evident in these works. Just like the others I’ve already shared here:

Today’s selection focuses on femininity—the unique presence and strength of women, as well as their delicacy—without downplaying their energy, vitality, courage, and strength.

If I had to choose one physical trait that I appreciate most in the opposite gender, it would definitely be eye color… And among the colors that move me the most are blue eyes. It’s a weakness of mine! They say that the eyes are the window to the soul, and that’s certainly more than true!

And what do you think of the artistry of these two Mexican artists? They’re quite different, but I think they complement each other well!

I wish you all a wonderful weekend! 🍀
