Cotonou StreetArt PhotoWalk: How I found the Latest Street Pain Artwork?
Greetings,
How are you doing, my friends?
It is a beautiful day to walk on the street of Cotonou, the southern city most developed on the urban side of the Republic of Benin.
I was off the office on this Friday afternoon. I walked pass the main crossroad connecting the art center to the office concentration on the Ocean side.
My choice was not too difficult at this hour in the afternoon, I could go directly home or look for another activities to do before sunset. I opted to catch a motorbike taxi to reach the art center and from the paint Wall Street I will find my way to the beach.
The moment I made that decision and the time it took me to find the right transportation to move from the business area to the more touristic space feel like ages.
As you can imagine, the taxis were all busy taking people from the business area to the various destinations in town. I could not find anyone willing to go to my destination.
It was clear that standing close to the panel searching for transportation was not the right action. I had to go ahead and walk in the direction of the paint wall neighbor, hoping that I found someone willing to bring me all the way to my destination.
I was right because a friend driving by saw me and made a U-turn and offered to take me to the painted wall.
He had to drop me and return take his children at school, so I could not chat with him longer than I was planning.
He was kind to leave me at the perfect spot of the street where the artwork representation begins.
How is it possible to make so many new artworks for the past three months?
It was magnificent, the number of new painting I had to pass before connecting to the latest product I remember from my photos in my smartphone art gallery.

I fell in love with the fishermen activities carrying net from the Ocean to the coast filled of fish. It is a traditional activity as old as the town, even older I believe.
It is amazing, the waves and the boat on the sand. I was speechless when I stood in front of the 20m x 5 meters wall paint from the skilled artists of the country.

I saw the men dragging the net multiple time when I am walking at the beach along the ocean waves.
It is a difficult part of the operation which involve the collective strength of 40 or more people pulling on the long cable.
