Hi all 👋🏻

Today I want to share with you a StreetArt find I found in Gibraltar 🇬🇮 I found this work on a wall in a tunnel on 18 June 2022. Gibraltar is an British overseas territory if you didn’t know. Close to where I lived in southern Spain 🇪🇸

Such a cool colourful work, great style. Don’t you think? 😎

He is based in Scotland 😎

I don’t need to explain who we see depicted in this StreetArt find. (I hope…🤓😉)
It’s John Lennon. Funny thing, he married Joko Ono in #Gibraltar 🇬🇮 many moons ago. Just like I did last year.

We were for the wedding in Gibraltar in April, and some of the photos taken was there in that tunnel. The art work wasn’t painted yet… so when we went in June back. And I saw it… all fresh and bright. I had to take some photos. So I kind of stumbled upon it. 😉😎 love it when that happens.

The tunnel is epic. And used so for many things.

Happy to share my StreetArt finds.
So far it’s going well, although we haven’t properly celebrated or been out much due to me being sick again. But we will catch up for sure. The in-laws are helping and making sure I’m ok.
If all is ok, we start traveling further Thursday 🤞🏻🍀😃
We decided to break up the entire journey… and we travel a bit, stay 2 to 3 nights and travel further… all the way until the 16th. So should be fun… more adventure more places to discover 🤩
Still no rental lined up, but I have to wait until after the 4th for the agencies to open up again.

Still pretty sick 🤒 but I will manage 😊 have to.
I did end up sending the paperwork in time with a December stamp on it 🤞🏻🍀 it arrived today.
Now we wait till we hear tomorrow or later… something from a rental.
We start traveling further Thursday. I have booked 5 accommodations along the way. Until the 16th. So will be in the right area soon 😉😎

Yes, funny thing...
Since (I guess..🤔) I have a affinity for the music thing, great musical personalities - mostly 50's to 80's (and a few brand New ones too) impact me. I recognize how their Art impacted the world I (still) live in.

So sorry to hear that You are still sick..😔
I am hoping You are getting better soon! Not good being "on the move and ill 🤒 as well...
I "Am" glad that you got the paperwork done with a December stamp. I actually went through the same myself...
Although they said that I could get off the Govt. Insurance at any time... I noticed on my retirement account they had already set up for.me to pay starting March....🤔
So I waited till I had all the right numbers from the VA so that they have "no questions". They said I could send in the forms without, but that never works... So I sent all in on the 27th! 😎
And I made it before New Years, just like "You"!

Nope, it isn’t great to start traveling while still sick. But it’s time to move on and explore some areas we want to explore going north. 🤓 it will be fun 🤩

Thank you so much @lesmann we did hear from one rental today (the rental that was closer to our preferred area) , but that wasn’t helpful at all. The promised “we send all applications to the owner the 4th”… they are holding off, as they got more interested people to view and some tradesmen are still repairing some things in the house. So delays on 2 mayor fronts.
So I think that will be beyond the day we want to move in. So we are focussing on the further away property now 😁🤞🏻🍀 it will be fine too… as we can get in there and explore from there. It’s almost 2 hours further away then where we wanted to be, but all fine. We can work with that for a year or so.
As long as we can move into a house.

Maybe I should, as it is crazy how it goes. To many people are searching for a rental and the agencies do what they want. A selection out of 5 to 10 people, how is an owner supposed to pick the right people. Without talking to them. Some do… but most didn’t.
Let’s think positive on a nice property to rent for us. 🤞🏻🍀✨😁 we still have time left.

We arrived well and late in our first location. It’s dark at 1600h. It’s rainy too… I can’t see out. Tomorrow it will be dry and we stay until Saturday morning here. I will take some photos from this town and views in daylight … and post our first part of the trip somewhere tomorrow.
We drove about 5,5 hours today with a lunch break in between… I will set out each route too. I tell you all about it in the post further hehehe 🤭 don’t want to tell all now 😉

Yes, people today are a different breed... Sadly, and from this they will have nothing....
It's a thing I think about a lot.. Time. I think because I have watched enough over the years to get an idea...
Maybe those "personalities" exist in that time. Like from the 50's (even before but to keep it simple) to I say 80's - maybe, you have a steady progression along a line, and all of these personalities fit into a progression along that line...
Now around "80", or so it all started going off the rails (socially) till now there is really no connection. And this I think has to do with Time...
These personalities could not exist now... 😞

Yes while traveling it is the best, and probably most difficult. So "grab it when You can"!🛌🛌🛌

Yes, cause there is really "lots" going on so always have to have some space engineered in, for the unexpected...

Actually You should for a few reasons. To get the info on how difficult really is, and.. No American would believe it to be this difficult. They also would not believe (I don't know about where you are but in Germany) you rent rooms. There is no light fixtures, sometimes no electrical covers, etc...
What you get is wires sticking out of a wall that are supposed to be connected to a switch, if present+ I have seen places without...
Unheard of here! Here that rental better come with a microwave+! 🤣

(I actually did pull off a little magic stunt today.. It was minor, but if I could figure out how I did it...
I have "jury duty" and it should have been on the 10th, I have to fix something on the truck but won't be able to do that till the 13th... I didn't want to have to drive back and forth the 29 miles....
I concentrated on this wishing the date would change or something...
Out of the blue I get a text and email today that it has been moved to the 17th!?!? 😳 Wow!)

Oh… that’s crazy… many did in many countries. Spain we had full lockdowns and couldn’t leave the houses.
We never will know what is good or bad in such times. Each has an own opinion. Luckily we can think for ourselves.
