Greetings dear friends, welcome to my blog. I am once again participating in the contest organized by @digi-me, CCC's Street Art Contest #301. Today I’m sharing a beautiful piece of art that’s part of the “Mural City” project in the historic district of Cumaná. I drove past that spot in the company vehicle where I work; I was struck by its beauty, as well as what it symbolizes. This Saturday, I went back to take the photos.

The mural features several artistic paintings depicting various scenes; the one I liked best is where the artist treats us to a beautiful landscape. Unfortunately, the artist’s signature is not visible on the mural. The landscape is quite colorful, featuring a lake, plants, and flowers. If you look closely, you’ll see that they’ve drawn some cayenne flowers and also trinitaria flowers, which, by the way, blend in with the same species that have been cultivated in that area—in fact, this is the plant that predominates in this part of the city. In addition to the landscape, there’s a large monarch butterfly; the plaza’s vegetation complements the scene in a sublime and exquisite way.

The mural is quite large, so I photographed each scene separately. Next is a portrait of an indigenous person alongside local wildlife, such as the macaw and the turpial, representing the culture of Sucre State and its ancestral roots. It is a beautiful work of art, bursting with color and steeped in history.

Just a short distance from the Gómez Rubio Bridge, my attention was drawn to a portrait that seamlessly blends into its natural surroundings—specifically, the surrounding vegetation, including blooming trumpet vines. The natural setting blends in with the subject’s hair, creating a truly beautiful scene and a wonderful tribute to the environment. I hope you like it; this artwork is set against a majestic landscape.
