Street art in Amsterdam Part 1 - 5 photos

Specially those four shots are in the neighbourhood of De Pip which is the south east, just outside on the inner ring which is where most tourists seem to spend all of there time. Whilst the Central area is interesting, it is a bit touristy and a bit busy, but venture just a 10 min walk further south and you are starting to get into parts of Amsterdam which are more designed for local (I say more because there are toursits everywhere here)

But enough of me rambling on let's look at some pieces.

Street Art 1.jpg

A very cool Parrot in a hoodie, because of course......

Street art 2.jpg

This was quite a large piece right near one of the markets, and is some excellent stencil work from artist Hugo Kaagman. Ewhen you consider that there are only three colours here, White, Light Blue and Navy blue it's impressive to see the detail.

Street art 3.jpg

and a more close up look.

Street art 4.jpg

This piece was nearby to the above there is something almost North African about this piece, it feels like it's amazingly decorated tiles.

Street art 5.jpg

And this, our final piece is down a side street and a great example of using large scale pieces in local neighbourhoods to add to the life of the streetscape

Another great selection of StreetArt. I really like the "stylish" parrot that starts the post. The mural is pretty cool too... Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

Have a great week
