První zastávku si uděláme na severním pobřeží Španělska. @xaviduran nás pozval do města Bilbao. Zaujal ho most pro pěší přes řeku Nervión. Fotografie získala třetí cenu.

We will make our first stop on the northern coast of Spain. @xaviduran invited us to the city of Bilbao. He was fascinated by the pedestrian bridge over the river Nervión. The photo won third prize.

Podíváme se na další severní pobřeží. Bude to však v tisíce kilometrů vzdálené Venezuele. @alfrin nás pozval na výlet lanovou dráhou na horu Avila (Caracas). Fotografie obdržela cenu za účast na soutěži.

Teď nás čeká Mexiko. Konkrétně jezero Kaan Luum nedaleko Tulum. @phortun si tímto zavzpomínal na pobyt v Mexiku :-). Jedna zajímavost. Tmavě modrá voda za ohrazením je propadlina tzv. cenota. Fotografie získala první cenu.
Now Mexico awaits us. Specifically Lake Kaan Luum near Tulum. @phortun was reminiscing about his stay in Mexico :-). One point of interest. The dark blue water behind the fence is a depression called a cenote. The photo won first prize.
Tradice, nebo chcete-li rituál. Jsou dny, kdy i pilní Japonci přestanou pracovat a vypraví se na pouť ke svatyni. @new.things nás pozval na tradiční procesí ke svatyni Meiji Jingu Shinto v rámci výročí sjednocení Japonska. Fotografie získala druhou cenu.
A tradition, or a ritual if you will. There are days when even hard-working Japanese people stop working and go on a pilgrimage to a shrine. @new.things invited us to a traditional procession to the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine as part of the anniversary of the unification of Japan. The photo won second prize.
@ansoe nám představuje novou tradici. Noční snímek barevně osvětlených fontán na jezeře Taungthaman u Amarapu Towship (Myanmar) je opravdu působivé. Fotografie získala druhou cenu.
@ansoe introduces us to a new tradition. The night shot of colorfully lit fountains on Taungthaman Lake near Amarap Towship (Myanmar) is really impressive. The photo won second prize.
Přesuneme se daleko na severozápad do oblasti jezera Oněga (Rusko). @eto-ka nás pozval na ostrov Kiži. Kontrast moderních deštníků se starodávným pravoslavným chrámem v pozadí má něco do sebe. Fotografie obdržela cenu za účast na soutěži.
We will move far to the northwest to the region of Lake Onega (Russia). @eto-ka invited us to Kizhi Island. The contrast of modern umbrellas with the ancient Orthodox church in the background has something in it. The photo received an award for participation in the competition.
Poslední zastávku si uděláme v Moravskoslezských Beskydech. Minulý pátek zde @vaclavs pozoroval přírodní úkaz, který není pro tuto oblast typický. Polární záře byla tak silná, že „přesvítila“ i světelný smog města za horizontem. Fotografie získala speciální cenu s právem účasti na doplňkové soutěži o nejlepší fotografii měsíce května.
We will make our last stop in the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy. Last Friday, @vaclavs observed a natural phenomenon here, which is not typical for this area. The Aurora Borealis was so strong that it "outshined" even the light smog of the city beyond the horizon. The photo received a special prize with the right to participate in the supplementary competition for the best photo of the month of May.
Nové stavby, staré i nové tradice, přírodní úkazy. To vše vidět za pár minut? Jde to, pokud se s námi vypravíte na nedělní výlet s ATW :-).
