Ratha Yatra or Chariot Festival 2024

We joined the festival celebrated locally

Ratha Yatra or Chariot Festival is the largest festival of world, with a staggering crowd of more than a million people, attending the festival at Puri. This year is a special occasion in which the festival will be celebrated for two days and this has happened after 53 years. In the morning, I shared the live telecast link in a thread

https://inleo.io/threads/view/sanjeevm/re-leothreads-lqvxuy11

You can feel the crowd only after watching the video. And if you do not know, the purpose of this festival is for Lord Jagannath coming to meet his devotees on this festival, irrespective of caste or religion. People from around the world come on this occasion to have a life time memory.

We joined the local Chariot Festival celebrated in the afternoon, and you can see the devotion and excitements of people, pulling the chariot. I could manage to take some niche captures, even though the rain disrupted.

In such a huge crowd of devotees, not everyone would get this opportunity.

Jai Jagannath

This time, it's special,

Sir, you have taken some beautiful portraits, it seems your Sony Camera is doing wonders. I have saved a few from this blog.

The truth is that there are a large number of people celebrating that festival and as they say, it is a beautiful memory for all those who were fortunate enough to attend. A question friend, why wait 53 years to celebrate it for two days?
