Municipality Book Fair in San Luis.

Greetings to all the community members! Despite of my love for books and reading, this is my first time posting here. I am a reading enthusiast and my favorite books are about mystery, romance and adventure. In this opportunity I would like to tell you about my experience in the Municipality Book Fair of San Luis, Pinar del Río.

This event has place annually. It is held first in Havana, and later in the different Cuban provinces and municipalities. Here in San Luis people are always excited about this literacy event to find new titles and stories to read too.

I am used to participate in this activity selling books since 2023, so this is my third time doing this. The ones that I sell are always from "Caminos" editorial.
They publish about current topics that Cuban and the world in general are facing nowadays. This editorial is celebrating its 30 anniversary this year and celebrations have been along the country and even in Latinoamerica.

I really enjoy these days, because people are paying close attention and taking a look at the books diversity looking for the ideal and adequate for them. They ask questions about prices, themes, authors, and I help them to select. In this opportunity my mom is working with me and that make it a better experience.

We have had a great journey this year. Yesterday we sold almost everything! Yesterday I had to introduce two of our books for children. "La Liga de Antiprincesas 1 y 2" (Anti princesses 1 and 2). It is a book about real and empowered women of our history that are not recognized and the author put them together in order to save a town from horrible monsters and creatures that are scaring to the inhabitants of that place. The first book narrates the moment when the monsters appeared and how a good witch uses a magical formula to travel in time and create the Anti - princesses League. In the second book they fight again the monsters but they are going to need another woman that help them to be successful and defeat the monsters. Someone was polluting the water and the river animals were poisoned. That is why the witch finds Berta Cáceres. She is a rivers guardian and finally they are successful.

I had a lot of fun sharing with children, because they are quite intelligent and they gave quick answers to my question and showed interest about the book and what I was talking to them. I shared scenari with another two important writers from our province that made a presentation too of their books.

Today is the last day. I have to share my art in the afternoon and sing for the audience. I'm so excited about it!

I am glad to see how much people love reading yet in spite of the technological era. Physical books are always the best option.
