A Shadow Before Going Home

Greetings, friends. It's been a while since I've been here. The fact is, I've been in places where shadows are virtually absent. The absence of the sun is slight; only rain and thick fog reigned throughout the day, a cold but pleasant and bearable climate. Back in the city, I found my warm afternoons and the bustling city, which I also missed. I also missed my shadow-hunting adventures, taking advantage of the moment where light meets darkness, when an object intervenes and leaves us with distinct scenes that we can enjoy and profit from.

Una Sombra Antes De Ir A Casa

Un grato saludo, amigos, tenía tiempo sin pasar. El caso es que he permanecido en lugares, donde prácticamente las sombras estaban ausentes. La ausencia del sol es poca, solo reinaba la lluvia y una espesa neblina durante todo el día, un clima frío, pero sabroso y soportable. Ya de vuelta a la ciudad, me he encontrado con mis tardes calurosas y con la ciudad bulliciosa, que también extrañaba. Ya también echaba de menos mis andanzas para cazar sombras, aprovechando el momento donde la luz, se encuentra con la oscuridad, cuando se interpone un objeto y nos dejan escenas marcadas que podemos disfrutar y sacarle provecho.

I missed all of that. Once I reached the city, I was able to explore the familiar places that marked my path home, and although a little tired, I was still active and eager to catch something. It was midday, and the time was right to look for some shade along the way. That's how I found this mosaic of shadows, on this granite floor, where the light projected from the front and sides through the wall that separates the garden, carpeting the entire space.

Todo eso lo extrañaba, ya llegando a la ciudad pude recorrer los lugares conocidos que marcaban el rumbo a casa, y aunque un poco cansada, no dejaba de estar activa y queriendo cazar algo. Era mediodía y el momento era adecuado para buscar en el camino alguna sombra para disfrutarla. Es así como encontré este mosaico de sombras, en este piso de granito, donde la luz se proyectaba por el frente y a los lados a través de la pared que separa el jardín, alfombrando todo el lugar.

Here, unlike other places, the city is always awake with sunlight; it's the perfect time to capture those shadow plays to warm up.
