entry smash 266: shadow art

so i was walking on the beach, not the sand smoothed from wave action but the looser sand only soaked by the highest tides- where the sand is also being continually shaped by the wind. there were a few coconuts among the scattered debris that had floated down the nearby river and washed up on the beach in the high tide. in the late afternoon several of the shadows were interesting and i may post a few another time but one stood out as quite astonishing

above is the unedited original photo taken with my samsung phone.
below is a version of the photo edited to black and white with a few other minor adjustments.

Hi there 👋
that‘s an interesting shadow and it surely stirs ones imagination. I like the color version more, because the black and white edit pretty much lost all it‘s sharpness and somehow just looks like an old version of the same shot imho. My first thought about the shadow was the profile of a baby doll, but that could very well come from a video i saw earlier about some monster dolls that washed ashore somewhere. Haven‘t hunted shadows myself for some time now, should get into it again.
