Returning to A Coruña

As I mentioned, a couple of weeks ago I was in A Coruña, during the succession of storms that hit the northern part of Spain, causing a significant sea storm, so that with the strong winds were days that had to be very alert.

One of the days that it was not raining I could go for a walk along the promenade that was being protected from the storm by the erection of a large dune.

I had shown you that during my walk in a window I had managed to capture a reflection of the sea and part of the city.

After that I had gone to the tip of the breakwater to take more pictures where the sea was breaking violently.

But on my return, I stopped again at the same window to take some additional photos.

In the first one I photographed a woman who, like me, was taking pictures of the reflections on the glass. I guess from her disposition she was taking a selfie.

Next, I chose to approach the glass, bringing my phone as close as possible to try to take a mirror image of the passers-by and the surroundings of the promenade.

Without further ado, content with my walk, I returned to the hotel and said goodbye to Riazor beach until my next visit.

Greetings

This storm is from a couple of weeks ago.

There was a chain of squalls for two weeks that was very impressive.

Thanks for your comment

Very interesting. Those dunes appear to be man made just to prevent the water from flooding the streets. But they are so small. Did they work? 🙃

They worked well at a height of 8-10 metres.

Although some waves were able to get over the dune.

the power of nature and the waves a great idea building up the sand dunes to provide some protection from strong storms
