From the 19th century to the present - Desde el siglo XIX hasta la actualidad

According to the information I found, it currently functions as a museum, and I have to investigate this further because if so, I would love to see the inside and see every detail of the building up close. It is a colonial house whose design was inspired by European models, specifically French. Originally its grounds were much larger since the Iturriza's were a very wealthy family, in fact, this palace was only their vacation home, but later, much of this land was ceded for the construction of the streets and avenues that exist today around it. I share with you some images I found on the internet about the style of the time and the streets before its modernization.

After the death of Don Juan Miguel Iturriza, its original owner, the palace was sold and remodeled because it had deteriorated, but its new owners took great care to respect every detail in the remodeling, even bringing the materials from France so that it would not lose its essence. When its second owner died, the building changed owners several times, among them several consortiums and had a huge deterioration, destroying many of the works of art that were inside. Finally in the early 80's it was declared a national historic monument and the government of the state of Carabobo proceeded to its restoration respecting also the original design taking as a guide many photographs kept by the Castrillo family, its second owners.

In the photographs we can read "La Isabela", this is its original name, given by Don Juan Miguel Iturriza in honor of his mother and daughter who bore the same name. I have as a task to investigate if it is really a museum open to the public because I am really passionate about this kind of places and knowing its history helps me to connect with that time, that despite having passed much more than 100 years ago, we still share the same streets, the same mountains that surround us and the same view of the beautiful quinta "La Isabela". I hope you enjoy these pictures and this little story, of course I will be showing you more of this palace or palace, for now I say goodbye, while I imagine myself going through the gates of La Isabela, wearing a beautiful dress of the XIX century 💃

Wow, the architectural design is super, the is so beautiful.
In person it is even more beautiful, I hope to make it inside at some point.
for the time look like a very advance building, i guess there were not too many houses with a second floor, there are a few buildings like that one locally, interesting how it end up been a national monument, thx for sharing ✌️
I'm sure it was quite advanced and luxurious for the time as the family was quite wealthy, I hope to know its interior soon. Thank you for commenting ✨
It's been a while since I've taken pictures of the palace, I haven't even been able to go inside, but how nice to find these reviews about the architecture in Valencia. Greetings !

I want to get in! I've been there several times and I haven't seen it open, I don't know if it's closed, but I would love to visit it. If you are from Valencia leave me your telegram so you can join the group of hivers in the area 😁
It has been closed for some time, for a while they opened it but I could not go, maybe they are fixing it, but it would be great to know the interior of this majestic house. Of course this is my telegram @wiljocamvas.

Looking at the photos of Palacio de los Iturrize, it's pleasing to see how well the purple pastel brinks jives well with the clean almost-cream walls. I love the intricacy and artistry of the carvings and installations in its facade.
I fell in love with this building, I would like to be transported back to that time. It is still beautiful in spite of the multiple renovations.
Exactly, dear @lunaticanto. The Palacio de los Iturriza is an emblematic landmark of heritage architecture that deserves our respect and continuous nurture. I'm amazed by its historical origins and although that edifice has passed several owners, what's more important is its ultimate preservation and transformation into an iconic museum. I'd love to see its gorgeous interiors after you get the chance to explore its inner beauty. Marvelous feature! ☺️👍
I would also love to see it inside, I seriously would love to be able to do that hahaha I've been hoping to see it open someday, but no luck yet. When I do make it I will definitely show it to you guys, it's really beautiful. Thanks for commenting ❤️
It is a really beautiful architectural work, its facade has so many details that make it unique. I hope, you can show us its interior soon, because it must be an architectural delight.
I also hope to be able to enter at some point, if it is so beautiful on the outside, I can't imagine what it will be like on the inside, despite the fact that many of the works have deteriorated, many of them by Arturo Michelena.
It's a very beautiful and clean city, I'm sure there is very little pollution in the city because the air looks fresh, the architecture of the museum that you share is also very good, the classic style makes us never get tired of looking at it
The classic style is very addictive, it happens to me with buildings, cars, clothes...with everything that has many years hahaha In Venezuela the sky is always like this, I guess it's because it's a tropical country. Greetings from the Caribbean
you are right, it is very beautiful, hopefully i can go there one day.
