The Lotus Spa,An Enchanting Traditional Javanese Style Spa
Hello my dear friends…
Here i will share another beautiful spa that i had the chance to visited during my honeymoon. The last spa that i talked about was Bodyworks, its a very gorgeous spa that will blow our mind when we visit them. This spa is also beautiful in a whole different way. This spa have a opposite vibe of the Bodyworks despite having the same type of the design, which is “traditional”. I will show you what this spa looks like during your journey reading my post. The name of the spa is Lotus Spa. If i am not mistaken, the lotus is famous for its positive symbolism. Lotus also said to be a charm for healing. When i saw the name, i think that its a pretty name for a spa. Its aligned with the purpose of the spa.
In the entrance of the spa, more precisely in the reception, we can see a big wooden decoration. I dont know if its came from one tree or not. I was so interested yet feeling intimidated by it. It was so beautiful and creepy. Looking at the shape and the hole of each part is somehow enchanting me. Maybe they put it in there and shape it that way as a symbolize of flower, because it looks like a flower made of wood for me.
This is the left side of the reception and on the way to the waiting room. Its pretty funny because this part have a lot of mix of modern design. Once again, there’s a part of it that reminds me a lot of chinese style, which is the koi fish. There’re not many things we can talk about in this place but I appreciate their effort to put some “green” into their place and have a bit of space where we can get the sun. So, their waiting room is exposed to this and we dont have to use lamp since the place is so bright in the day time.
They have two waiting rooms available. This is the first one. It was taken in the day time and as we can see they dont need an additional light since its so bright already. They have 4 sofa chair in this place but that is not what catches my eyes. As we can see in the ceiling, they paint it in a way that it looks unfinished yet it matches with the painting style of the small cabinet in the center. Another thing to notice is they use a lot of wooden stick in their ceiling. It was like that in their reception room too, but i forgot to take the place. It looks like they really wang to out a lot of “our grandma’s house in village” type of vibe like that. Well, it might be more benefiting if i say that they want to put a “traditional javanese” style in here.
This is the second waiting room where me and my husband actually sit and waiting for our spa. There’s no much to say about this area because its basically similar with the first waiting room, but just a bit kore exposed.
Before we enter the spa room, let me share about this 5 statue in their waiting room. I think its so pretty that they put statur with overflowing water. Make the whole area seems more comfortable. Sadly, i dont know who’re the people in the statue. Are they are a real people or just random statue?
This is the hall to the spa room. It is so pretty and i am obsessed. The dim light, the square lamp, the lamp on the ceiling, etc. Walking down this hall makes me feel like that i am some royalty princess from javanese’s kingdom few hundred years ago.
This is our room, Arkavati. The room is for couple.
This is the sofa where we sit after we change our clothes. We sit in here and the spa technician will start our spa with washing our feet. The chair with low feet like this is very traditional looking and it is also supported with a bowl made of wood.
Its unusual for a spa room to have cabinet like this. Usually they will just put our belongings to the sofa where they wash our feet, its very interesting that this lotus spa have one where we can put our belonging safely inside. Once again, its wooden cabinet.
This is the spa bed. Its like normal spa bed but once again its made of wood and have a traditional sheets other than the normal white one.
They have two small glassroom like this. The left one are the toilet and the right one are the one for shower.
Last but not least, my other most favorite thing after the beautiful hall, its the bathtub. I went to a lot of hotel so i already saw a lot pf bathtub but this is the first time that i saw a bathtub in this shape. It designed to make it looks like they cut a very big stone to two and then made it into tub.
It's really a very beautiful and comfortable spa, I've never been to a spa and I hope to go there one day

The classic and cultured architecture of Lotus Spa. I think just coming and seeing the building from this place relaxes my mind and body. Very beautiful place.
True, just being there is relaxing enough because of the thoughtful design

The scuplture at the frontdesk looks lit. The overall ambiance promotes warm and coziness.
I dont know why but somehow the ambiance is pretty cold to me eventhough its still cozy and comfortable. The flower like sculpture is absolutely wild ☺️

Beautiful spa @firayumni! I'd definitely feel at home and easily relaxed in a soothing place like this! Though not as lavishly ornate as the previous spa you've featured called Bodyworks, the Lotus Spa has achieved an ideal level of an organic atmosphere by using natural materials, colors, finishes, and furniture that rejuvenate the mind, body, and spirit. Superb choice for your honeymoon! 👍😊
Bodyworks is still the best but this type of design is very nice too because its also closer to our culture so its comforting, makes us feel like visiting our grandma’s house in hometown. Thank you for the message and sorry i took such a long time to reply, being a new housewife is surely take all of my time 😅🙏🏽
