I had no idea that in the town of Escaguey, 27 km from the city of Merida, I was going to find this amazing place, an old house, where a mill worked to process wheat. Nowadays, it is a museum where we also find a restaurant called El Viejo Molino.

Undoubtedly, this place has been restored, so that today we can continue enjoying it. It is very interesting to tour its facilities and discover its architectural features and the materials used at that time.

Upon entering, you find a beautiful facade in light blue. This is one of my favorite colors for walls, because it is a color that inspires serenity. Also, on this occasion I feel that it combines very well with the brick, the uncovered areas that let you see the earth and the sign.

The first thing that catches our attention is that on the facade we observe a kind of tunnel at the bottom of the structure, with a series of gears and immediately you wonder what its function is, but when you enter you understand everything. Another thing that caught my attention is the difference in height of each of the floors. The top floor has a relatively low height.
