I am preparing to move (2025.01.06)

I am still in a tent in the cave/tent living community in the rocky semi-desert on South Tenerife.

With smaller and bigger breaks, I live in this place since the spring of 2023.

Soon I will move to live in another place.

Or at least I am planning to move.

Nothing is certain yet, but I am planning to move in the near future (in the next few months, maybe earlier).

Currently I do not know if I will move alone or with a few of my friends.

Theoretically a few of my friends found a good place on the North coast of the island.

Soon we will see.

Theoretically yes.

As I heard, there is normal wired electricity and also normal tap water there.

But I have not seen the place yet.

The place is on the other (north) side of the island. The distance is around 100 km. It takes around one hour and 15 minutes to travel there by car.

Having to move from the tent you were living to another place is a huge step. Because your decision is not guided based on a friend.But it is based on consented feelings of either convenience or inconvenience,only you can make that choice.
Change they say is constant, reasoning movement is a simple thought that needs to be accompanied by action and that action can only be made by you alone. Your write up was explicit and straight to the point. Despite that fact,I still gave you a compliment. It doesn't cost you anything to reciprocate the gesture, with a simple "Thank you". My question was genuine, because I actually did not understood it before.

We have different viewpoints.

Of course, thank you for the kind words.

Being explicit and straight to the point is natural for me.

My decision is based mostly on the current inconvenience.

Inconvenience, because currently I live in a tent in a rocky semi-desert without wired electricity (only with solar power) and without tap water, and with a bunch of alcoholic and drug addict people, who have not achieved any proper progress in the community in the previous one year.

They promised a working refrigerator with a freezer for the summer, but we still cannot even charge the batteries of our smartphones either.

So we cannot even store food either (especially not meat).

Yet they have the money to regularly make parties, to smoke, to use drugs, etc.

I am very determined to move from this place because of these things.

But it is very hard to move (to find a proper place to live), if you have any living animal.

And currently I have a female Harris's hawk.

Finding a house to rent is not really an option in this case.

Finding a plot to rent, and buying and installing a caravan (or something like that) is much more likely.

And theoretically some of my friends found a good place with proper electricity and with proper tap water.

Soon we will see.

Years earlier I lived in a house. I even partially owned it. This is a long story.

hmmm,I sympathize with you and everything you had to go through just to get a suitable accomodations for yourself.If your friends had succeeded in getting an apartment in a peaceful and conducive environment,then I suggest you ask them to help you search for one as well. Or better still go to stay with them until you are able to afford a suitable accomodation.
