In ice captivity

Another winter week is over. This year's winter is especially harsh. It was like that more than ten years ago, but in recent years frosty days have alternated with relatively warm ones. But not now. It's been freezing for many days, about 20-22 degrees Celsius. It's really cold.

My garden has turned into a frozen kingdom. I'm not even trying to do anything about it, because it's just useless. The only thing I did when it all started was to take all my birds to a warm room. It made life easier for both them and me.

I feel a little inhibited. It's probably because of the cold. I can hardly force myself to do even routine household chores. All I want is to hide under a blanket with a cup of hot tea and watch some movie.

My dogs don't mind spending time at home either. In this sense, we have a full consensus.

Winter Can be so harsh. God thing your birds are safe and hoping better days come soon.
I'm with you, tea and under the covers sounds fine with me. Our winter has been colder and snowy compared to other years. It is hard to stay motivated with all the dreary days. Spring will come soon!

Oh what a harsh weather that you're experiencing, I feel for you. I know it has practically affected every facet of your daily life, please remain positive. Bad weather doesn't last forever.
I think it's the effect of climate change we are experiencing across the world. In my case during the months of November through January, we usually have a dry season with colds that we call Harmattan. But we didn't Experience it during the past three months, what we had was hot dry weather.
Please manage the situation well to the best of your ability, do things that will make you happy, and hope for the best.
