The nude Pseudobombax ellipticum

This is how the Carolinas tree looks like after losing all its blushes.

$1

For a long time I thought that their flowers were called Carolinas. I used to go to see the spectacle of the (...) flowers with my cousins, back in Pilotos, my father's homeland.

🤓

When you're little you don't care to know more than one thing, unless someone explains more... so Carolinas was fine for me. But a few days ago I learned that this curious tree has many names, including that one that I also like and used to title the post.

White or colored poppy (depending on the color of the flower)

Ballerina
Angel Hair

I thought when I saw it, a few hours ago, that its dancing and pink beauty is very ephemeral... I associate these flowers with dancing because my cousins and I used to put them on a taburete (stool) and tap them under the leather to make them dance.

So many laughs and games shared. The sight of the stool leaning against the wall where my grandfather used to sit.... (as I write this, tears come to my eyes)... and also laughter, when a cow passed by that apparently had escaped and was dragging a rope and there we all went to be dragged by the cow.

The soil of Pilotos is fine sand, almost like dust... Imagine, that cloud of dust falling on the polished cement floor that my grandmother Mulata used to clean very early in the morning? So innocent... while my grandmother shouted and shouted about what madness that was. She was afraid that the cow would kick us.

$1

All these memories and even the smell of my grandparents' house came to my mind. And I looked at the ground and I kept looking at the trunk of that tree and there were still flowers that...

$1

... no, they were not losing their blush as I said at the beginning, they were letting go... without resistance. Because nature is wise and they are certain that another spring will come.

I was able to save photos from this spring... and I hope to enjoy the next one much more.

And if you got this far and didn't notice the hummingbird in the GIF I shared with you at the beginning of this post, run, don't miss it.

A bit of fantasy I am also leaving around here. 😉

I saw the hummingbird! Yes! hahaha

What nice memories, I imagined the situation of hitting the stool to make the flowers dance... the beauty of simplicity and innocence, I love it!!!! What a beautiful publication, I love the trees!

This tree that you tell us about in your publication, is very similar to one that is painted in oil, in a huge painting in the BANDEC bank here in Pinar del Rio, I remember that whenever I had to go to a management as I was lost in the painting, in each branch of the same matching with the lights, I did not find the hummingbird 🫤.

It's perched on a branch. Restless, just like they are, looking around.

The tree in your post is beautiful, with a story filled with charm and serving as a nest for many birds, who resonate in every human breath.

It's a tree that conveys many things to me... a host of emotions. The birds are beautiful, and flocks of them fly around that area. Thank you!

Hi @nanixxx, I didn't notice the hummingbird, I noticed only that bird crossing the sky. I saw it and waved at it, it didn't say anything to me, it was all said and done.

I really liked these images with which you have accompanied these memories you share with us.

And, of course, that it will be spring again. I'm a bit like that...so let me tell you that I thank last winter for carrying the next one (this spring) inside.

A very big hug. Thank you.

Hi @enraizar, I'm sending you a hug. You still have time to talk to the hummingbird. It's perched on a branch. Hahahaha... I had a beautiful day, out of the ordinary. You know, riding a bike 🤣.

Thanks.

I'm so glad you enjoyed those photos. Except for the ones of the flowering tree, I took the others with my cell phone yesterday when I was walking in the afternoon, towards the sunset.

Good morning @nanixxx, I'm not going to tell you that I'm glad yesterday was a great day for you 🚴‍♀️, because I think I just told you that, 😅

Yesterday Hive gave me two great gifts, this post and Vezo's post, I was happy to see you for that post. You are a Sun. 😎

To the hummingbird I am going to visit him right now, I am a little nervous, I have never conversed hummingbird to hummingbird.

A very big hug.

👀😟 Oh, I see there are some tough decisions on the table. I hope everything goes well and that you, above all, feel comfortable.

Last night before going to sleep, I found an Instagram reel that talked about destiny and threads, and at the end it mentioned flowers and spring. I shared it on my story... I was impressed. Sometimes, strange things happen to me... as if someone were speaking to me from some distant place or someone was in charge of whispering things to me.

Good morning, @enraizar.

I am not surprised that you let yourself be carried away by these signs that are there and that few people see.

As for the decisions, they have been made for some months now. The problem is how to manage it. I already told you once that I don't give up on friends. It is out of selfishness, don't believe me, so I will be here enjoying Hive and the people I love, but in a different way.

I will still be here for more than a year, so I will still post something, I think I have time.

Thanks 🫂

Be here ... Well, where is that "here" I feel that I only know that I am here now. Tomorrow I don't know where I will be. Do not even get wake up. But today, now, I have been fortunate, I received a gift: life time, and I'm going to make that coffee that I enjoy in the morning. 😉

A hug. Enjoy your day.

Feliz día.

A complicated name for a tree, but very nice and wise as well, as you say. In the gif I saw two flying birds and one on the branch, and one car.

May you have a happy weekend and holiday, if you celebrate it. 🌸🐇

But you see everything, hahaha... ;)

Don't you like the name of the tree? Try not to forget it so that if we see each other one day, you'll remind me.

Happy Easter! Tomorrow I'm going by bike to an animal adoption fair. I went today, I just got back from there, and I bought Yin a package of food, those delicious little pellets... well, I didn't try them, but they seem to be delicious because he already devoured the first portion.

The performances and gigs are going good, thank you ;) And the leg/hip issue is having its good and bad phases; it depends on the day haha.

Gracias, la verdad es que así hay que tomar las cosas. Estoy bien, pero respirar y concentrarse en eso sí que es importante. Se intentará meditar, aunque no tengo el pelo de ese color jajaja, sino plateado 😆

Will you be able to get some rest?

There will be more concerts in the near future with the choir, but I am free for the whole next week. And then I will be travelling. When back, crazy schedules are coming back as well 😂

aunque no tengo el pelo de ese color

menos mal 🤣

Don't you have between three and 10 minutes for that? Si noti che si tratta di un tempo breve. 😁

Yes, great that you are going to that meeting in Graz. Looking forward to your stories already! Hahaha...

I really liked your touching and nostalgic post, with that beautiful memory and praise to spring, through the offering to such an attractive tree of delicate flowers (they look like ballerinas with pink tutu. Best regards, @nanixxx.

I'll give 5 Hive to anyone who repeats the name (the one in the tittle) of the tree three times in a row (just kidding 😂)

I prefer to stick with Carolinas, beautiful photos as always. I didn't see the hummingbird at first in the gif 😅

So the title should have been "The Nudity of Pseudobombax ellipticum"?

What do you think? I need to improve my English 😬

When I was a child I also liked the carolinas, but it was difficult to find a stool for them to dance on. But we had a lot of fun with them. I would cut them out and make them shorter and they danced better. I knew you were going to write about them. Nice memories of your childhood daughter. Lovely Sunday.🥰🤗❤️❤️❤️
