Celebrating two in one // Celebrando dos en uno.

Hello friends of #hive and especially the @hive community. As always, I hope you are all well, as are your family and friends. Today I'm here to talk to you about my mom and my nephew's birthday celebration, which coincidentally falls on the same day. The truth is that this was a very nice gift for my mom eight years ago, the birth of her first grandchild on her birthday.

As always, we got together and tried to do something so that it wouldn't go unnoticed, even though the economic situation is a little difficult, but hey, we always apply the method of joint collaboration and everything always turns out easier and cheaper, ha ha ha. So this time was no different.

We started preparing the day before, and since Cubans are always used to rice and meat, but at this stage it has become difficult to get all this, we decided on Italian food, spaghetti and pizza, thus killing two birds with one stone, something different and at the same time economical, besides the fact that there were quite a few of us and this is a meal that goes a long way when well distributed.

It was my turn to make lunch that day, as it was a workday and everyone else was working. I was off that day and that was what had been agreed, but as life is unpredictable, when I woke up that day I had to call for reinforcements, ha ha ha, because I had coincidentally come down with Chikungunya fever and could hardly move due to joint pain.

Well, to make a long story short, I'll tell you that in the end, everyone came to cook, ha ha ha. We made a big pot of spaghetti for lunch so there would be enough for everyone, and we ate. By the way, it was very good; my sister's sauce is spectacular. Later, we made what we call a pica cake here, something very simple so it wouldn't be overlooked, but rather to get together and spend time together.

In the afternoon, we went down to my sister's house, where the rest of the party would take place. But not before giving them both their gifts, which they loved. By the way, we gave my mom a box of chocolates, ha ha ha, but with a little mischief included. It's a shame I couldn't take any photos of that moment so you could have seen her face, ha ha ha. She really died of laughter.

My nephew was delighted with all his gifts, including a deck of cards that he really liked. They were actually quite good for how cheap they were, but he was even happier with the gift from his aunt who lives abroad, as she sent them lots of clothes and coats for this season. After lunch, we picked up the pizza we had ordered and went to the other part of the celebration. I have to tell you that they had to take me on a motorcycle because I could hardly walk.

After we arrived at my sister's house, we put up some decorations and set the table to sing happy birthday with the cake and everything else. I had made some empanadas the day before, my sister had made buñuelos, there were soft drinks, plus the pizza, the cake, and lots of cookies that the children had brought as gifts. We didn't invite many children, just those who lived nearby, because, as I said, the economic situation is not conducive to large birthday parties.

This is the part my nephew likes best, singing and cutting the cake, and my mom was happy because for her, the best gift is seeing us all together and sharing this moment. We lit the candles and sang, because as the saying goes, don't delay the celebration, ha ha ha. I actually felt a little bad, but that wasn't going to stop me from participating in this important celebration for everyone. Luckily, there were no mosquitoes at my sister's house, so I could be more relaxed and not infect others, although there is an epidemiological situation here, so I don't think they can escape it.

The birthday party ended very well. After we finished singing "Happy Birthday," we handed out the sweets and everything else there was for everyone to enjoy. By the way, everything was very tasty. I loved it, especially the cake, which my sister made. In the afternoon after the birthday party, we all went home to end the day. We didn't really do much, but the goals for the day were met: to have a good time, to not let the day go by unnoticed, to be together, and to create beautiful moments as a family. Hola amigos de #hive y en especial a la comunidad @dailyblog. Como siempre espero que se encuentren bien al igual que sus familiares y amigos. En el día de hoy paso por acá para hablarles de la celebración de cumpleaños de mi mamá y de mi sobrino, que coincidentemente lo celebran el mismo día. La verdad este fue un regalo muy bonito para mi mamá 8 años atrás, el nacimiento de su primer nieto el mismo día de sus cumpleaños.

Cómo siempre tenemos acostumbrado siempre nos reunimos y tratamos de hacer algo para que no pase por alto, a pesar de que la situación económica está un poco difícil, pero bueno siempre aplicamos el método de colaboración conjunta y siempre todo sale más fácil y más barato ja, ja, ja. Así que está vez no iba a ser diferente.

Desde el día antes comenzamos con los preparativos, y como el cubano siempre está acostumbrado al arroz congrí y carne, pero en esta etapa conseguir todo esto se ha hecho ya difícil pues, nos decidimos por comida italiana, espaguetis y pizza, matando así dos pájaros de un tiro, algo diferente y a la vez económico, además de que éramos unas cuantas personas y esta es una comida que bien distribuida rinde bastante.

Este día me tocaría a mí hacer el almuerzo, pues era un día laborable y todos estaban trabajando, yo me encontraba de franco ese día y era lo que se había acordado, pero como las cosas de la vida no están escritas, ese mismo día cuando me levanté tuve que pedir refuerzos ja, ja, ja, pues había amanecido casualmente con la fiebre del Chikungunya y prácticamente no me podía mover de los dolores articulares.

Bueno para no hacerles muy largo el cuento les digo que al final vinieron todos a cocinar ja, ja, ja. Se hizo una espaguetada para el almuerzo bien grande que alcanzara para todos y almorzamos, por cierto quedaron muy buenos, la salsa que hace mi hermana es espectacular. Más tarde lo que se haría era un pica cake como le decimos por acá, algo bien sencillo para que no pasara por alto, más bien para reunirnos y pasar tiempo juntos.

En la tarde bajamos para la casa de mi hermana que allá era donde se haría lo demás. Pero no sin antes darles a ambos sus regalos, que se quedaron encantados con todos, por ciento, a mi mamá le regalamos una caja de bombones ja, ja, ja, pero con una maldad incluida, es una pena que no haya podido documentar fotos de ese momento para que hubiese visto su cara ja, ja, ja la verdad se murió de la risa.

Mi sobrino estaba encantado con todos sus regalos, en ellos iba incluido un juego de cartas que le gustó muchísimo, la verdad estaban bien buenas para lo baratas que costaron, pero más contento aún con el regalo de su tía que vive en el extranjero, pues les mando muchísima ropa y abrigos para esta temporada. Después de almuerzo recogimos la pizza que habíamos encargado y nos fuimos a hacer la otra parte de la celebración, les cuento que me tuvieron que llevar en una moto, pues casi no podía caminar.

Después que llegamos a la casa de mi hermana, pusimos algunas cosas para la decoración y preparamos la mesa para cantar el feliz cumpleaños con la torta y demás, yo había hecho unas empanadas el día antes, mi hermana había hecho buñuelos, había refrescos, más la pizza, la torta y muchas galletas que los niños habían ido trayendo para regalar. No sé invitaron mucho niños, solo los que vivían más cerca, pues como ya les dije la situación económica no está como para hacer cumpleaños muy grandes.

Esta es la parte que más le gusta a mi sobrino, la de cantar y picar el cake, y mi mamá estaba feliz, para ella su mejor regalo es vernos a todos reunidos y compartiendo juntos. Encendimos las velitas y a cantar, pues como dice el dicho que la celebración no se haga esperar ja, ja, ja. Yo la verdad me sentía un poco mal, pero eso no iba a cambiar que dejara de participar en esta importante celebración para todos, por suerte, en la casa de mi hermana no había mosquitos, para estar más tranquila y relajada y no contagiar a los demás, aunque bueno en cuanto a eso haya una situación epidemiológica por acá, que creo que se escapan poco de pasar por ahí.

El cumple terminó muy bien, después que terminamos de cantar las felicitaciones, repartimos los dulces y todo lo que había para que todos degustáramos. Por cierto, todo estaba muy rico, a mí me encantó, sobre todo la torta que a mi hermana le quedó sabrosa. En la tarde después del cumple nos regresamos todos a casa para finalizar el día. La verdad no hicimos muchas cosas, pero el objetivos del día se cumplió, pasarla bien, que no pasara el día por alto, estar reunidos todos, y crear momentos hermosos en familia, así que, a mí entender, fue un hermoso cumpleaños.
