Dancing under the disco lights

Hello everyone! There are days with beautiful moments that we always remember fondly. Especially if we also have beautiful photos that remind us of that day. I will be happy to share them with you today and do my best to evoke that day in the best possible way.

I work in a corporation and every year we have a corporate party where all the employees gather. These parties are thematic, well organized and we always have a good time. At the beginning of June this year, our party was held at Ada Ciganlija lake in Belgrade, a place that already has a special charm, but on that day it felt like it had been transformed into a retro paradise.

The party took place on a wide green meadow, next to the lake and nearly 1000 colleagues gathered. The theme of the day was disco, and everything, from the music to the atmosphere, fit perfectly. It was a real disco party (in Serbian - disko žurka).

The setting was very nice, colorful and welcoming. I loved the light reflection on the large disco balls.

I'm a fan of disco, so I felt very nice looking at all those colorful decorations, reminded us of the good old days.

The food was also very good, salty, sweet and refreshing.

People came dressed in shiny disco outfits and big sunglasses.

It was one of those rare moments when you forget it's a corporate gathering and feel as if you're part of something more playful, something that connects people on a different level.

Aside from the music, there were plenty of fun activities to enjoy. On the grass, tables were set up for table tennis, table football, pinball machines...

We also had a volunteer activity of painting t-shirts and writing motivational messages on them, which we later donated to an association that cares for children and youth without parental care.

One of the highlights of the evening was the music program. We were lucky to have several performers, but the one that stood out most was the ABBA tribute band. They fit the disco theme so perfectly that, for a moment, it felt as if we had traveled back in time. Everyone knew the songs, everyone sang along, and the meadow turned into a giant dance floor.

There was also another energetic band and even a DJ who played with a live trumpet, adding a unique twist to the beats.

Still, nothing could beat the feeling of singing "Dancing Queen"...

For me personally, this event was unforgettable for another reason. I had the chance to co-host the program on stage with two of my colleagues. Standing in front of nearly a thousand people was something I had never experienced before. At first, I was nervous, but once I saw all the smiling faces, the energy of the crowd, and the way people were enjoying themselves, the fear disappeared. It turned into a joyful, empowering experience.

As the night went on, the lights grew brighter, the music louder, and the dancing more carefree.

By the end of the evening, it felt like a true celebration of togetherness, creativity and fun. Ada Ciganlija was the perfect backdrop for this story, and disco turned out to be the perfect theme to remind us that sometimes all you need is music, laughter, and good company.
