TODAY'S WALK IN VIZULA

avatar

I spent some time, about an hour, I think, in the place called Vizula. Vizula is a small peninsula that has a small harbor and an interesting archeological park. The area is part of Medulin, the small, seaside town in which I live.

I took a walk there after buying some stuff in one of the local supermarkets. In this opening shot, you can see a bit of the scenery in the muddy, shallow bay with many inlets and quite a few islets and peninsulas. Being near the sea, the terrain is attractive, so many apartment buildings have been and continue to be built along the shore in that part of Medulin. With that being said ...

... is time to see a couple of boats in the small harbor. These two are anchored and tied to the buoys. In the foreground of the following photograph ...

(Enlargeable)

... you can see two small boats tied to one of the piers of Vizula. One of the boats is old & rusty, and it doesn't look capable of successful floating anymore.

It was raining lately. Some unkept boats look like boat-shaped bathtubs filled with sea.

This small speedboat which looks like it has seen better days was laying stranded on the rocks on the other side of the inlet.

When the tide is very low, the boat shown in this photograph gets stranded on the thick, sticky mud.

I found these ropes on the prow of one of the boats tied to the pier. They looked like some kind of doodle drawing.

This thing was found and photographed on another boat there. It looked great for a minimalist shot. It also looked, and it still looks, like the letter J.

Here you can see an old, rusted mechanism used to pull the boats out of the sea.

Nearby, among some humid, rotting planks, I found a bunch of lovely white flowers.

And that's it. The post is almost over.

Here you can see another group of condos built on the other side of the bay.

In this last photograph, you can see the trunks of the pine trees of Vizula.

AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.

THE END

The rusty one won't see much of the sea. Cool post, @borjan.

Pine trees I like the most. God has created the pines in artistic manner. Weather was looking very awsome 😍. I think weather is a good factor that makes our mind to visit such places. I like boating but also fear of that. But I have done boating twice of my life and it was really an interesting act.

Is the place an island? It has a lot of seas over there. I can tell from the picture you posted.
You have also taken good pictures too

who left the hook of the pirate's captain over there? I guess the boar can sail because of the sticky mud, and then the pirate crew abandon the ship altogether and built that nice condo by the sea. hahah

Hi @borjan , The condominiums look very good, the view from these is a plus so that they can be sold, in general it is a somewhat gray place, but that is precisely what makes it pleasant in my opinion
