📷 9 Years Here On HIVE

Hello dear friends,_

And another year has gone by. Nine years ago, I signed up for the blockchain that later became HIVE. As far as I can remember, it must have been May 17, 2017, when it happened. Well, it was a life-changing decision that I still don’t regret to this day. On the contrary, I’ve met so many cool people here.

Hallo liebe Freunde,

und wieder ist ein Jahr vergangen. Vor 9 Jahren habe ich auf der Blockchain angemeldet, aus der dann später HIVE hervorgegangen ist. Soweit ich mich erinnere, muß es damals der 17. Mai 2017 gewesen sein, als es geschah. Nun, es war eine einschneidende Entscheidung, die ich bis heute nicht bereue. Im Gegenteil, so habe ich hier doch viele coole Leute getroffen.

One thing never changes. My HIVE birthday falls on the day after my “real” birthday. So, of course, it's easy for me to remember the date for HIVE. ;-)

Eines ändert sich nicht. Mein HIVE Geburtstag fällt um einen Tag versetzt mit meinem "echten" Geburtstag zusammen. Daher kann ich mir das Datum für HIVE natürlich gut merken. ;-)

In the lovely month of May, we finally had some consistently warmer days. At least until the Ice Saints, who once again lived up to their reputation. Of course, I took advantage of that to go on lots of short bike rides on my eMTB. I took all of the photos above in the Schenkenwald forest, which is currently under serious threat of having to make way, in no small part, for wind turbines. That would mean losing my personal oasis of well-being. Hopefully, it won’t come to that.

Im Wonnemonat Mai hatten wir ja endlich konstant schon wärmere Tage. Zumindest bis zu den Eisheiligen, die ihrem Ruf mal wieder alle Ehre gemacht haben. Das habe ich natürlich wieder für viele kurze Radtouren auf meinem eMTB genutzt. Die obigen Bilder habe ich allesamt im Schenkenwald gemacht, der aktuell leider akut bedroht ist, zu einem nicht unerheblichen Teil für Windkraftanlagen weichen zu müssen. Damit würde ich meine persönliche Wohlfühloase verlieren. Hoffentlich kommt es nicht dazu.

Our outdoor pool opened a week earlier this year than in previous years. I generally like to visit our local swimming lakes before the outdoor swimming season starts. There are two of them near me. However, the spring was very chilly. We couldn’t go in the water without getting frostbite until May. In previous years, I was already swimming frequently as early as April.

Unser Freibad hat dieses Jahr eine Woche früher aufgemacht als die letzten Jahre. Grundsätzlich gehe ich gerne vor der Freibadsaison an unsere Badeseen. Wir haben hier zwei davon in meiner Nähe. Das Frühjahr war allerdings sehr kühl. Man konnte erst am Mai ohne Frostbeulen ins Wasser. Die Jahre davor war ich stets schon im April oft baden.

This is another lovely spot where I often stop to recharge my batteries in a meditative way. You hardly ever see a soul here, even though it’s just a stone’s throw away from Wertheim. I hope you enjoyed my short post. See you soon, dear HIVER...

Das hier ist auch eine schöne Stelle, an der ich oft innehalte, um meditativ Kraft zu tanken. Hier sieht mal im Grund nie eine Menschenseele, obwohl man doch nur etwas mehr als ein paar Steinwürfe von Wertheim entfernt ist. Ich hoffe, mein kurzer Beitrag hat Euch gefallen. Bis bald, werte HIVER...
