Cromford Classic Car & Bike Show
We paid a visit to the annual Vintage, Classic Car and Bike Show in Cromford, Derbyshire, UK, which has been running for the past seven years.
The show is put on by Matlock Rotary Club and Matlock Rugby Club. Fifty per cent of the proceeds are going to local charities and the other half to the rugby club.
We'd had quite a bit of rain during the night, but the field was surprisingly dry underfoot.
There were exhibitions and stalls around the perimeter of the field and a children's play area.
I love random things like the gear stick dice. I want one now!
My favourite had to be the 'Mystery Machine' owned by Fred Jones, Jnr from the TV series Scooby Doo!
I actually have a smaller version at home. 😁
I'm not a big motorbike fan but it was good to see a Harley Davidson in the mix.
It was an enjoyable morning. It was good to see things that were actually older than myself. We met a few interesting characters, and I didn't get arrested once!
Thank you @ewkaw and @qurator.
No Land Rovers haha?
As we have a car based instagram account, I often see the English car shows pop up on my feed. They seem to be everywhere!
Yes, I think the same ones do the rounds. There was one landrover but it didn’t seem old enough to take a photo. 😁
So many old cars in good conditions! But they would drink gallons of gas and need large garages! Very expensive hobby! The owners also match their vintage cars in terms of age too! 😂
The engines were immaculate. They put my car to shame. 😁
American cars from the '60s and '70s are extremely majestic.
Yes, they brought back a few memories.
