Racing Desertfurworms - Collage for/für LMAC 189 [EN | DE]
Round 189 of the LMAC contest started today. Usually it takes me minimum until at least Sunday to get my own collage done and ready for handing in. However, almost at first glance I was massively inspired when I saw the template photo for this round. I couldn't wait any longer. :-)
Round 189 is open until Monday at midnight (UTC). Come and enter your own collage and have the chance to see your collage in the winner's poll. Great prizes await the winners.
Just in case you thought you were not an artist. LMAC, with the weekly art challenges and a friendly community, could prove you wrong for that.
Since I'm helping in the LMAC jury, as always I'm only participating pro forma and just for fun.
Heute begann Runde 189 des LMAC-Contests. Normalerweise brauche ich immer bis mindestens Sonntag, um eine eigene Collage abgabebereit zu machen. Jedoch war ich fast auf den ersten Blick massiv inspiert, als ich das Vorlagen-Foto für diese Runde sah. Da konnte ich nicht mehr innehalten. :-)
Runde 189 geht noch bis Montag um Mitternacht (UTC). Komm, wirf eine eigene Collage ins Rennen und hab die Chance deine Collage in der Gewinnerauslosung zu sehen. Tolle Preise warten auf die Gewinner.
Falls du jetzt gedacht haben solltest, du seist ja gar kein Künstler. LMAC, mit den wöchentlichen Kunst-Herausforderungen und freundlichen Community, könnte dir diesbezüglich das Gegenteil beweisen.
Da ich in der LMAC-Jury mithelfe, mache ich, wie immer nur Pro-Forma und zum Spaß mit.
About my collage
When I first looked at @shaka's amazing template photo for LMAC Round 189, I was immediately fascinated by the cacti in the foreground.
I tilted my head around 30° so I was able to look at the photo from a different perspective. And that's when I saw them, the Desertfurworms that we can now observe in my collage while riding a race.
Über meine Collage
Als ich mir @shakas beeindruckendes Vorlagen-Bild für LMAC Runde 189 das erste Mal anschaute, fand ich direkt die Kakteen im Vordergrund total faszinierend.
Ich neigte meinen Kopf um 30°, damit ich das Foto aus einer anderen Perspektive betrachten konnte. Und da sah ich sie, die Wüstenpelzwürmer, die wir nun in meiner Collage beim Wettreiten beobachten können.
Materials
These are the materials I have made use of to create my collage. Additionally to Photo Bashing, I also painted some details myself (shadows, lights, reins, sky, dust...).
For the work on the collage I only used the open source image editor GIMP.

Materialien
Dies sind die Materialien die ich zum Erstellen meiner Collage verwendet habe. Zusätzlich zum Photobashing, habe ich auch Details selbst gemalt (Schatten, Lichter, Zügel, Staub, Himmel, Haare...).
Ich habe für die komplette Arbeit an der Collage, das open source Bildbearbeitungsprogramm GIMP verwendet.

LMAC is a great community for artists of all skill levels. The name of the community is an abbreviation and stands for "Let's make a collage".
Just take a look. Even if you think you are not an artist, LMAC will probably prove you wrong.

We are currently building our own photo/image library that we can use as a image source for our collages, but also every Hiver beyond LMAC is very welcome to use the images in it.

This collage is beautiful and can serve as an intriguing prompt for a thriller. I mean look the worms, in skins like that of tigers. It's speaks a thousand words to be honest. I love it.
