LIL: Images of Late Summer for the LMAC Image Library

August is almost gone, and you can see the fading season in some of the pictures I offer today for LIL, the LMAC Image Library. This post concludes with a multi-colored leaf that has fallen to the ground. As most readers of my blog know, all these pictures will soon be available as public domain images in the LMAC library. Thank you @bhoa. I love going around taking the pictures. My daughter snapped a few of them (the fly on the window--isn't that one grand?).

These are wonderful images for the lil gallery. The smiley manhole cover gave me a chuckle. 😆

Thank you dear friend, @redheadpei. I thought the manhole cover was funny too. We saw it at a water purification plant (!). I guess they have to stay cheerful there😁

The fly on the windshield is very cool! I thought it was hovering in the air when you took the picture.

Hi @rebolegi,
That is one of my favorite shots, also. Actually, my daughter took that. We had been at the beach on Sunday evening. While I was getting in the car afterwards, I noticed something large on my leg. Thought it was a thread. Turned out it was an insect biting me through my clothes! Left a welt.
The next day my daughter went back and a huge fly landed on her windshield. She snapped a picture and guessed that fly was the insect that had bitten me. It was very large.

She's pretty clever, my daughter. Snapped that with her cell phone. That's the tale of the fly 😄

Woah! I remember I used to have a friend who got bitten by a big fly when fishing during summer and it left a nasty wound.

Nice pictures. It must be really hard to take pics of wildlife, especially birds, any sudden movements your muse has taken off😂.

Thank you for visiting and for appreciating my pictures.

My husband and I are retired. We have turned taking pictures for LIL into a hobby. It's nice to share and we are lucky that all around us there are beautiful nature scenes. Plus, my adult children send me pictures when they see something interesting (that's where the fly came from).

Maybe the pictures look nice because I was enjoying myself when I took them:)

Awww that's real nice🥺. I love taking pics of trees when I'm walking just that my phone camera is spoilt now😢
The way the sunlight sifts through the leaves is just so calming.

Thank you, my friend @cetb2008. We are well. My only grandchild has gone off to college and we are rather in shock. Years and years we worked for it, and now she's gone. Kind of startling. Joyous and sad at the same time.
