Getting into my pants

galenkp (13).png

There is nothing better in life than getting into someone else's pants...although it has to be the right person or it's a terrible experience...so, the quote should be, there is nothing better in life than getting into the right other person's pants.

- G-dog -

I've been feeling a little out of sorts lately so decided to do something enjoyable with my Sunday. I'm not exactly sure why I chose to mess around with my macro lens though; I always seem to come away disappointed with my images and generally fucken depressed but, be that as it may, I spent some time playing around with my camera and even managed to get some acceptable shots. I mean, acceptable to me, as others may think they are terrible.

I'd planned to take some shots of textures as I've got a post in mind for down the track so I decided to start with some fabrics. I whipped my jeans off and went at it...Ok, I didn't do that at all, but I did go to the wardrobe to grab a pair of Levi's and started taking pictures. The images in this post are the result.

livxy.png

I have a mirrorless Olympus E-M10 MkIII and use the genuine Olympus macro lens on it. I've taken a few good shots in the past but my eyes tend to let me down. Or is it the fact I'm a terrible photographer that lets me down? It's probably the latter. I have a go though, and maybe that's all that really counts? It's not like I have to earn a living through my photos.

I don't know what settings I used as the point, shoot and hope, method is the one I employ mostly.

I shot on manual though, and the numbers 2.5, F4.5 and 200ISO come to mind. I've got no idea what that means, but after my well-practiced point, shoot and hope process happened I ended up with some photographs. I haven't zoomed in on any of these, what you see is right out of the camera, although I'll be able to zoom down on them as I shot them in a fairly large format. I also haven't edited them as I can't be bothered and don't know how to use any photo-editing programs...nor do I want to know.

Once I photographed my jeans I whipped my underpants off and photographed them...Ok, not really...But I did photograph some other fabrics and I'm really happy with how they came out. I'll share them over time.

galenkp (12).png

It's been a very chilled Sunday for me and I'm really pleased I got a few photos that I'll be able to use in upcoming posts. I'm more pleased I didn't come away disappointed with my shots though and I look forward to sharing a few.

Anyway, right now I'm considering a snooze because, why the hell not? There's nothing better in life than Sunday afternoon snoozes...except for getting into the right other person's pants of course. Right? Oh, and just so you know, I actually hand pants on the whole time I wrote this post...Or did I?

It seems that you are quite satisfied with the short-and-hope method when the camera is in your hands. But, did you know? it is the best shooting method of all time.

Just shoot and keep shooting until the result is at the point of expectation. That's what many professional photographers do, they learn on their own.

I was waiting for your NSFW hashtag when I first read the title of your post, it didn't exist. LOL

Yeah, my knucklehead style of photography suits me fine, I've got no one I need to impress, and if I did I'd move them on because people should appreciate others without the requirement of needing to be impressed. 😁

I'll never make money from my photography, but if I have some fun I'll be content.

I totally agree with you. I am also like you in this regard. For the things we love to do, why be under the influence of others, right?

Macro photography has always excites me, because you see a very different perspective of the world around you. Sometimes I see some photos and keep on wondering what the subject is.

Getting close into the structure of the fabrics is very interesting. Nice jeans you have! 😁

I like macro, but I'll be honest and say that I'm not good at it. I just take a pile of pictures and hope. I'd love to get some shots of bugs and things, but those little buggers move too much.

I took some shots of jewellery, some grass, fruit and a couple other things. I'll roll them out over time, along with my get into my pants series. Lol.

Yeah, I've got some pretty decent snaps from today. I'll roll them out in a get into G-dogs pants series. It'll be epic.

Ok, not epic but huge.

Ok, not huge, just great.

Ok, not great just sort of ok.

Ok, might be shit.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Fascinating to read this. I think you did well with the macro photography, although I am not a photographer either so maybe my opinion does not matter too much.

When it got to the underpants I thought "What next?" He's going to say he took a macro photo of some sausage and then it turns out to be like actual breakfast sausage. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Go G-Dawg! I hope you had a great snooze. It gives me a bit of SMONDAY but at least it is still 9AM here in SA.

It's getting warmer... but last night was very cold!

We should start a community. No photographers allowed.

He's going to say he took a macro photo of some sausage and then it turns out to be like actual breakfast sausage.

I do not need to be prompted like this. I can make it up for myself. That's what I do. :)

(G-dog grabs pen and paper and writes down good idea for later.)

The question on everybody's mind is do you have denim underpants as well?? untitled.gif

Haha, well nah I do not, I think that would chafe...Although I caught the...umm...my bits in my zipper once. If you've done it then no further explanation is required. If you haven't done it...Give it a go, it'll wake you up for sure.

I like jeans a lot so these shots are satisfying to look at...weirdly 😌

I like blue jeans and can be found in them at times. I tend to wear more earthy tones though. Still, I got me some Levi's and I put them to good use.

I love the snaps, especially the first and the last. I would love to see the larger version of those that are in the collage (^_^)

Perfect! I love it! I was about to ask for this larger version (^_^) thank you, macro photography indeed brings beauty out of ordinary things. The bronze and the thread look very nice in macro.

Yeah, I'm pleased with how the snaps came out. I have some others I look forward to sharing. Threads and all.

Macro shots are awesome. These turned out well, I have tried before with insects and end up coming away depressed and sad that I am shit at the whole game :OD

Lol, it sounds like your experiences are the same as mine when it comes to macro. I got a couple good ones today though, good by my standards anyway. I'll take what I can get, when I can get it.

Yeah. I am a macro maggot when it comes time. So much so that I rarely try-no, make that I rarely have anything usable as a result of my attempts. My newish phone has a macro lens and I seem able to screw that particular pooch as well.

I posted a pair of photos on a Motorcycle Forum showing an 'easy way' solution that I discovered quite by accident. I closed it with 'now you see why I was a mechanic and not a photographer'.

Well, now I'm jealous. If I hadn't read ahead to MeesterBoom's reply I'd think I am the only macro dipshit left.

So. Is your secret to just keep trying or did you actually figure something out? Enquiring minds want to know...

I actually figured something out. It's my eyes that cause me the issue, seeing if the subject is in focus, because with macro any little change takes the focus a long way one way or other.

Anyway, I found a button that instantly zooms in on the subject. I can use that to focus and actually take the image of that zoomed subject, or press the button again and it goes back to normal, but retains the focus for when I take the photo. It's like magic.

I twiddle the shutter speed and F-stops as well of course, depending on the available light.

A bit of the click bait title but...The jokes on me, it's only been the fella's who have come by. Seems the ladies have other things to do, or think I'm an idiot. Probably the latter.

These macros came out great.... but you already know that !

Very classic Levi's details.

A Sunday afternoon nap .... that is classic good too. Sounds like you made it a very happy, stress free day.

It was a nice day with average photos and an above average afternoon nap. I can't complain. 😊

I hope you're having a good weekend.

Thanks !

So far so good.

Just barely beginning my Sunday. I've wiled away an hour or two sipping Cafe Mocha Truffle coffee (still sipping).... reading posts and net window shopping for unnecessary things like vintage Christmas decor....it just makes me happy. Later I expect to go to Mom's for a visit and I am not sure what else. No push... no stress. 🙂

Such great photos. Just because you don't know the F stops and lingo doesn't mean you're not a photographer. The quality of your photos determines that and I think you should give yourself more credit!

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it. I guess I don't see myself as a photographer as I don't know all the technical stuff, or care about it. Technically speaking I am though, as I take photos. 😉

Distraction is a great way to change a mood or state of mind. Something which I totally get! You either have really incredible camera skills or you have an insane camera! Those are really great macro snaps. Love how you signatured the main photo so subtley with your name. I only noticed noticed after seeing it several times.

Hope you had a good snooze :)

There's a third option: Blind luck.

And probably some (the best) photos requires all of the above at the same time.

Indeed, and the blind luck skill is one of my most keenly developed...or so some would say.

As a non-photographer type I tend to put more effort on the fun aspect than the actual photos. I know my images are generally ok, but that's about the extent of it I guess. Enjoying myself is the key focus.

Thanks for your message.

Your pictures came out super fly!

Once I photographed my jeans I whipped my underpants off and photographed them...Ok, not really.

You got me right here, big time😂. I was skeptical about scrolling any further because I certainly wasn't looking to see how the underpants' pictures turned out.

As long as they open the method doesn't matter I guess. I had some button ups over the years but I prefer the zip though.

These macros are quite good! Of course, the whole ramble was priceless and quite clever. Its not easy usind double entendres so effortlessly they appear upright. :))

Great job on all accounts. 😀

Well this is not what I was expecting when I read your title. But I still enjoyed it 🙃
I am not a photographer at all, I've never been able to afford a decent camera anyway, so it's all good. I really like the second shot!
Looking forward to more xxxx
