Altea: I wish I could be there again - Weekend Experiences (Week 175)

Hello dear Hivers!

We are almost at the #weekend, and we already feel that other different energy. Sometimes we have many plans and things to do and at other times we prefer to do nothing, just rest without thinking about much else.

And by thinking, we think about those other moments where we enjoy other experiences that we would like to be able to relive, right?

So this time in the #WeekendExperiences community hosted by @galenkp we let ourselves be carried away by one of the engagement suggestions in this #week175. I have chosen this:

If you could do anything this weekend, what would you do and why?

And the answer is easy now: I would spend a relaxing and refreshing weekend in a beautiful town on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. Specifically in the beautiful town of Altea.

And why?
Because Altea is a beautiful place, next to the sea and although it can be very touristy, there are also other moments after the strong days of summer when everything returns to a pleasant serenity, and the weather is still good.

Furthermore, if we avoid the most attractive, well-known and central area, and stay in a more residential area where many have already left at the end of the season, you feel peace.

Peace is seen from the balcony when looking beyond, the views of the sea and that promontory on the horizon, which invites us to go out and explore, to see things, to enjoy nature and to do nothing else.

The reason
I would do that this weekend, again, without a doubt. Because this summer has been intense, intense not only because it has been hot, as is logical, but because it has been something weird, with moments in which I did not feel well and had to work, so I have had little free time and what I have I used it to go to the beach here for a brief moment, or to relax reading or watching a series or movie lying on the couch. But without a real disconnection.

Oh I want these views and feelings again...

And sometimes we need that, to disconnect the mind, and maybe also the body, and we don't need to do great things or live great experiences, maybe just go out a little, walk when the sea breeze blows, dream when we see the boats moored at the marina port and just be without thinking about anything else.

Let's just concentrate on looking here and there, watching time pass as it gets dark outside and feeling that everything is at peace because you don't have to do anything. Just be, here and now.

I was there then, and I would do the same again, there in Altea or somewhere else... Another weekend of deep rest, mental disconnection and total connection with oneself and with the beautiful sea that I see in front of me.

Relax pleasantly and be naturally happy.
