My weekend diary: An afternoon of shopping and ice cream.

One of the things I enjoy the most on the weekends is shopping, because it becomes an opportunity to get out of the house, clear my mind and why not, discover new places and have pleasant experiences.

In the last few weeks, I have been busier than usual, I think I need a couple of hours more each day to take a break and rest. No doubt organization is the key so a good way to save time every day is trying to buy everything I need on the weekend.

Last Saturday we found out about the reopening of a supermarket, one of the biggest in the city, it seems they changed the owner and now it also has a new name, it is called Hiperahorro, with the hope that they did honor to its name, we decided to go on Saturday afternoon to visit it.

We walked to the mall that is about thirty minutes from home, it was a good idea, our main goal was to find the most delicious strawberries in town, then, that walk took us a little longer, because we were looking at some options, until we got to the mall.

Filled with balloons and lots of advertising we were received in this place, with very cheerful music, you can tell that the joy of Christmas is reaching everywhere, sincerely you could choose your products dancing, I really liked that they have bar readers in almost every aisle, so you can see the prices of each one in Bolivars (The currency of my country), since in the pantries all prices are marked in dollars.

We bought some things to prepare food during the week, so I would not have to go out every day, because I need to optimize the time to the maximum if I want to meet my goals at work, meanwhile, my son was happy, in the shopping cart and I with a huge desire to return to my childhood and make a visit to the market an adventure.

When we left the supermarket, we realized that they had opened a new ice cream shop, it is called "Vanilla Cream" and I was simply enchanted by the place, I love places full of color and neon lights like this, plus the lighting and the design of the lamps is beautiful. It is a very nice place, perfect to savor an ice cream of butter and chocolate like this, the syrup and the cookie are very tasty and the service is spectacular. They even asked permission to take a picture of my son for his social networks.

I will be back, I will return to these two new places and I hope the quality is maintained over time, because I really liked this shopping experience. Afterwards we toured the mall and although not all the floors are decorated we found a Christmas tree, very nice, where we took our first Christmas pictures.

Back home, we went to look for the winning strawberries, in a small market quite close to home, where we found these provocative strawberries and plenty of sweet ones, at the best price. That was our Saturday, Sunday was a quiet day to be at home, in pajamas and rest. We will see what happens this weekend, which starts in a few hours.
