With a great achievement, fabulous photographs. (Week 293)

I think my passion for photography, which I discovered relatively recently, is relatively inherited and I love to develop it, to practice and try new things.

20260124_003733.jpg

My maternal grandfather had one of those analogue cameras that worked with a roll of film, I inherited it and took several photos with it, but it didn't have a flash and it was expensive to buy and develop the photos, so I enjoyed taking photos with daylight and outdoors. They were spectacular photos, the ones I remember most are from a study trip I took to Buenos Aires, an intense five-day trip. I took three rolls of film with me, I used them all three, some of them didn't come out, they were veiled, but the memories are intense. It was as if my grandfather was with me in those moments.

years have passed since he left and it always moves me to remember him, I think I have a lot of him and a very big connection even though we are on different planes.

For many, many years I haven't taken photographs, except pictures of my cats, I always did that, but not in the way I do today and one of the things that Hive awakened is that dormant or relegated passion, I'm not sure. It's the place where I am now that I think motivates me, because of its great beauty. I take pictures of everything, every place I go and I like it more and more every day.

But good photography depends on many things, although some people have told me that I have the talent and that it is innate. Personally I think it helps me a lot to know about art, but I also have to let my creativity fly, it's as if my hands and eyes go alone to take pictures, without thinking about anything. I love the way they look.

Besides having to know about technique, I think you have to have the right equipment, and these days I'm more than happy because I was able to buy a new phone, a much better one. The one I had before was already nine years old. I always buy a very good one so that it will last me a long time. I don't like having to change phones all the time and I want quality. I waited for the right time when it was the best value for money and I did it!

This one has a much better camera, more resolution, night mode for my night walks and much more. I can zoom without distortion, more capacity and I am happy for this achievement. I wanted a specific model, I just wanted that one and I waited for the opportunity and I took it.

These three pictures I bring you of course were taken with my new phone. In all three cases what I really like about them is the resolution, contrast, light, everything. But there are specific tastes.

20260113_182731.jpg

The first one I took outside an art gallery and it's about the constitution square when the night was falling. I love the reflections, the sharpness of each building, it looks like one of those postcards from old times. It doesn't have filters, although it looks like it does, and when I saw it I fell in love.

I have taken many, many photos of this important square in the city, but this is the most beautiful one.

The second picture was taken on Kings day to a roscón we ate with my family, they say it was the best roscón in the province of Malaga and it was truly delicious, the best I have ever tasted, from the whipped cream, the dough, absolutely everything.

Many times when it is the first time I try something new I usually take photos of it and what I like most are the colours and the close-ups. I have to keep practising what is called macro photography. I think with this phone it will be great. I'm really excited about it.

The third picture I chose from many that I took of my two cats, the problem is that Cata doesn't stay still and every time I focus her she comes closer to the camera, I have to be very patient and wait for the moment when she is distracted. On the other hand, Tony is a photo model without wanting to be. Although the photo was spontaneous and there wasn't much light in the room, I love the sharpness and his little face, I always love to see his expressions, his eyes, the sweetness of his face, as if unconditional love was coming out of it.

What can I say, I love my cats, what they give me can't be explained, they are my joy every day, my children, my companions. I couldn't miss a photo of one of them. There is no distinction between the two, but I had to choose the best photo.

Every day I get more and more enthusiastic about photography, and I will always improve a little more. This is the theme I have chosen from the weekend themes presented by @galenkp. Thank you for that.

And thank you all for joining me today, I wish you a great weekend. See you soon.
Amonet.

All the photographs are mine.

I no longer have my grandfather's, but I used it for a long time and it was a good one, a spectacular German brand. What a great camera! Thank you very much!🤗

I remember the old cameras with film, you were always very careful before hitting the shutter button. Then taking the films along to the shops and waiting a couple of days for them to be developed. We always used to open up the packet immediately at the shops to see the results. Very nostalgic

It is true! You had to wait a few days and there was uncertainty as to whether the photographs had turned out well, it was a real unknown. A lot of nostalgia, other times... today everything is in a hurry, isn't it? Thank you very much!💗

Good morning, dear friend @avdesing

What sweet memories you have of your grandfather and your beautiful beginnings in this wonderful world of photography!

Like you, I also started out back when buying film and developing photos was expensive.

It's true, you're a natural talent; your technique is beautiful; without a doubt, knowing both technique and art makes you even better.

How can you not love your cats when they're so adorable?

Thank you so much for sharing these photographic experiences.

Have a wonderful day!

Nobody has taught me, what I learnt was by practising on my own and I love it. Thank you very much!

Hello Amonet, how are you?

What a beautiful legacy and so many wonderful memories with it; that trip to Buenos Aires is unforgettable.

My grandmother also began developing her photography skills after my grandfather started in Hive.

I love your nighttime photos and the ones of your ranches.

Have a great day!

Stop, stop, stop...! Selfies are not allowed for this particular topic. The photo of the kitten, although charming, divinely charming, breaks that rule 🤭🤭

Well, he probably doesn't need to be taught; he must do it secretly 😊

What great photos! You always share such beautiful pictures. I'm glad you were able to buy the phone you wanted, which allows you to take high-quality images, although of course we know that equipment alone is not enough. You have talent and passion for this, and it always shows.

I agree that it's worth waiting a little longer to purchase products and equipment whose quality contributes to our well-being and comfort.

Yes, I like it a lot, it's something I enjoy and I love to bring it here. Thank you!!! Thanks for stopping by and your lovely comment!🤗

Wow, this close-up photo of the cat is excellent, a great pose for a photograph, 10/10 for the cat and the photographer.

Good afternoon @avdesing, having good equipment certainly helps in taking technically better photographs, and your new camera is a great asset to your work. If you filmed the Three Kings video with the new camera, it's clear that it will also allow you to make very good videos.

I like all three photos... although the one that surprised me the most was the one of the Three Kings' cake. That portrait of Tony is beautiful.

I'm so glad you have a new camera; nine years is a long time.

Have a great afternoon!

Yes, with that phone I recorded the videos of Reyes and Alicia's show. I was learning, and I'm still learning. Thank you very much!

The roscon was delicious and Tony is my king! Cata won't stay still but as soon as I can I'll do a photo session hahaha!

Cata takes after her mother; she doesn't like having her picture taken. 😅

I was very happy to hear about your new purchase. Technique isn't everything, but it will certainly help you when taking photographs.

Cata is just like me hahahaha, the two are alike, one in some things and the other in others. The night photos are great!!!! Let's see if the weather improves and I go out for more photos! Thank you very much. Good night!!!🤗👋

Regarding the weather, we're under a daily threat of snow here. The last time I went out to take pictures was two weeks ago, and thank goodness I did... I think that was the last time the sun shone.

Have a lovely afternoon. I'll visit you tomorrow.

Thanks!!

I don't know how to tell you this so I will just say it.

I love your pussy... Cat

Us being cat owners and worshippers. We know that is not meant in the way some may interpret it.

And also great point by you in how your cat has not been taught to snap selfies... Yet

So if I am taking a foto of my kitty on my shoulder is it really a selfie or sexy picture of my pussy... Cat?

Still awaiting the invisible booby pics...

Oh wait, here is one now... Thanks for Sharing.

I don't think it's a selfie... unless you showed your cat! I think mine learn when I sleep!!!!🤣🤣

Thank you so much!!! I'm missing a picture of Cata who never sits still, but she's the queen of the house, my beloved daughter, a beautiful egyptian cat. I will show her to you!

If they are invisible... you won't see them!😆

Avecilla, what a lovely photo of Tony. You did so well upgrading your work kit. That’s a great investment, especially when you’re doing what you enjoy and know you’ve improved enormously.
