Bitpanda hat letztes Jahr über 100 Millionen Euro Verlust gemacht und der Nettoumsatz ist im Vergleich zum Bullenmarkt um 90% eingebrochen.
Das Krypto-Unicorn aus Wien Bitpanda meldet im Finanzbericht von 2022 ziemlich dramatische Zahlen.
Auch aufgrund von Einmaleffekten schreibt Bitpanda 2022 einen größeren Verlust als der Jahresumsatz ausmacht. 116 Millionen Verlust bei einem Umsatz von 90 Millionen. Das ist heftig.
Andererseits brachte das Jahr davor (2021) während des Bullenmarkts ein riesiges Wachstum mit sich.
Bitpanda betreibt in Europa 10 Büros und hatte im Bullenmarkt global 700+ Mitarbeiter, die aber bereits letztes Jahr stark abgebaut wurden.
Ich denke, dass viele Privatkunden nicht aktiv Kryptos traden, sondern eher längerfristig auf der Börse halten, was den Umsatz der Börsen weiter schwächt.
Andererseits kann es in einem Bullenmarkt wieder deutlich nach oben gehen, genauso wie Kryptos selbst unterliegen Krpyto-Börsen der starken Volatilität des Krypto-Markts.

The crypto unicorn from Vienna Bitpanda reports rather dramatic figures in the 2022 financial report.
Also due to one-off effects, Bitpanda 2022 writes a larger loss than its annual turnover accounts for. 116 million loss on a turnover of 90 million. That's hefty.
On the other hand, the year before (2021) brought huge growth during the bull market.
Bitpanda operates 10 offices in Europe and had 700+ employees globally during the bull market, but they already cut back heavily last year.
I think that many retail clients are not actively trading cryptos, but rather holding longer-term on the exchange, which further weakens the turnover of the exchanges.
On the other hand, in a bull market, it can go up again significantly, just like cryptos themselves, Krpyto exchanges are subject to the strong volatility of the crypto market.

I am reading this name for the first time but as You have mentioned the loss, hope they will reconstruct their name by great effort.
Ich hatte früher relativ viel dort gemacht, aber seit 2 Jahren alle Assets abgezogen, da ich komplett von denen verarscht wurde!

Liegt leider eher an den Gesetzen der EU, Geldwäscherichtlinie, MiCA etc, an die sich Bitpanda als Wiener Unternehmen halten muss.
Für mich ist es ein NoGo, wenn eine Exchange ihren Sitz in der EU hat. Da traue ich eher den Chinesen und den Amis.
Ich selber habe dort nie etwas gemacht, aber ich weis von ein paar bekannten die auch alles abgezogen haben unter anderem weil es dort scheinbar eine art totalüberwachung gibt und man extrem viele persönliche daten freigeben muss, vorgaben vom staat heißt es.

Eine Börse sollte besser selber keine Kryptowährungen im Portfolio halten.^^
Yep ist schon heftig, vlt Gebühren in Krypto gehalten, zu viele Büros und Mitarbeiter, Werbung etc, zu schnell gewachsen.

The bear market severely affected Bitpanda with a significant loss, as shown in the financial reports. I do not have an account on Bitpanda; I usually use other exchanges for digital asset trading.
Ich muss auch mal noch die paar Coins die ich da habe abziehen.
Bitpanda is really losing a lot of money but do we really think there are some tactics that they can use to make profit?

I've never used Bitpanda, but with a drop of 90 percent is it really just the bear market? Maybe once the bulls return they will manage to flourish again, but my concern is will they survive that long? A bet on this one is a bit of a long shot, but could pay off really well if they pull through.

It sucks to see that and I don't have a Bitpanda account. It sounds like it's just what we expect in the bear market and they expanded too aggressively during the bull market.

I've never used Bitpanda and don't plan to. The good thing about Bitpanda is that you can invest in not just crypto but also stocks, ETFs, metals, etc.
I was using KuCoin, but now they require KYC, so I'm not sure if I will complete the KYC process or not.

Vielleicht wäre es besser gelaufen, wenn sie beizeiten die immer diktatorischere EU verlassen hätten, z. B. Richtung Man oder Kanalinseln.
Bei einer Börse dieser Größenordnung sehe ich kaum Chancen, sich der EU-Regulierung zu entziehen, egal wo sie ihren Standort haben, vor allem wenn sie Fiat-Überweisungen anbieten.
Das sehe ich anders, da weltweit betrachtet die EU keine allzu große Rolle spielt (und gottseidank immer mehr an Einfluss verliert). Man und die Kanalinseln gehören zum SEPA-Raum, was bedeutet, dass eine SEPA-Fiat-Überweisung von Wien nach Man ganz genauso läuft wie eine innerhalb von Wien.
