POULTRY FARM AND HOW I STARTED MY POULTRY FARM BUSINESS WITH SAVINGS FROM NYSC MONTHLY PAY.

I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.

Of course you might be wondering what NYSC means, the full of the acronym NYSC is National Youth Service Corps. It's a twelve Months programme that polytechnic and University graduates observe immediately after their tertiary institution programme. An unfortunate situation happened during my own time. I was posted to Sokoto, that's almost 17 hours journey by road from my state of residence. I was a bit sad seeing that I was posted to Sokoto. At first I wanted to redeploy but it proved abortive, so I had to hold the bull by horns and stay there for one year. My service year was in 2018.

But later on, the fortunate happened to the unfortunate. This is a state where you can literally get things to feed on at a very low price. Despite I was paid N19,800 monthly, I was able to make savings because I spent little on foods, clothes and shelter (I stayed in Corper's lodge). At the end of my service year, I was able to gather N115,0000 in total which I never knew that money would take me for a long time.

.....How I started with 50 birds in a room.

When I came from service and most job offer I got were paying peanuts like from the range of N11,000 to N17,000 then, I said no I had to work on myself and build my own small empire, be my own Boss.

So I used the money to start rearing Broiler birds with the help from a sincere neighbor who put me through and even allowed me to use of his rooms to rear birds. I started with 50 birds, along the line I have tarred 200 birds, 100 birds and 150 birds.

Anytime I sit back on a seat I always hold the believe that I own this my Poultry farm business to the savings I made from my nysc. Far way back from 2019 to this moment,it has been hell of a ride and I am happy about it.
