From Kitchen, Little Chef to Jolibee Joy: A 5-Months Celebration and Reward to Remember

Motherhood is full of little surprises, sweet milestone and unforgettable memories. One of the most joyful moments in my journey so far was celebrating my daughter Morning belle’s 5th Monthsary.

This time, I wanted to something special, not just for her, but also for me. As a reminder of how far we’ve come. And so, I joined a contest in our barangay with the theme about kids in a kitchen or vegetable set up. It was a fun pictorials contest that made me even more excited to celebrate.

I decide to make Morning Belle a little chief outfit, a simple but creative entry.

This is the official contest entry. It had the contest title and our entry photo with 5 months Monthsary. It was simple, but I felt proud. Seeing her picture with a little chef had made me realize how quickly time flies. Just five months ago, she was a newborn in my arms, and now she’s posing in costume.

This was the highlight of the contest. Morning Belle sat beside a native basket filled with kitchen Ingredients like tomatoes, garlic, ginger, onion, squash and some green leafy vegetables. The settings were colorful, and it showed the warmth of a Filipino Kitchen. She looked so cute, adorable and curious. Even though she did not know what was happening, her presence and smile made everything feel bright and lively. It was my little way showing how children grow with the love and care we give, just like vegetables, they need good oil (our support) and sunlight (our love) to grow healthy.

That evening after the contest, we had a simple dinner at home with our Family. We cooked dishes to share, thanks to the prize we won. There was also a little cake with 5 months design. It was not grand., but it was full of love. I realized that celebration don’t need to expensive to be meaningful. It’s about who you’re with and the heart behind it. Our Family enjoyed the night and felt happy that we could celebrate this milestone together.

The next day, we went to Jolibee! It was our little treat for morning belle and a special bonding moment for the whole family. She could not eat the food yet, but seeing her smile and hearing her giggles made everything extra special. We used the 1,000.00 Jolibee gift prize we received from the contest as a way to celebrate and say thank you. That meal is a simple way enjoying the reward together with my family. From preparing the contest, materials to be used and to taking care of my Morning Belle.

From the cash prize, they have also Chocolates as sponsored and more importantly her baby needs, like diaper, wipes and milk. It felt good to use the prize not just for celebration but also for the things that help her grow. Every peso spent on her needs is like a tiny investment in her future.

Looking back at this 5-month Celebration, I realize that being a month is not just about changing diapers or feeding on time. It’s about making memories, celebrating growth, and finding joy in the little things. That contest was not just for fun, it was a reminder that I can be creative, resourceful and joyful even with limited means.

Morning Belle may not remember this day, But I always will. It was a mix of laughter, joy, teamwork and love. And someday, when she grows up and sees these pictures, I hope she feels the happiness, the pride, and the love that surrounded her from the start.

As a mother, this journey is my reward too. Her smiles, her growth, her presence, those are the biggest prize of all. And every contest, every cake, every photo is just a small way to say, “You are worth celebrating”.

After our bonding, we went to church to give thanks for all the blessing we receive. It was important to me to take the moment with family and offer a prayer of gratitude. We thanked God for the Good health of Morning Belle and for the prize we received and most of all the love and care for my child.

To all the moms out there: Celebrate every month, every moment. Just like our babies, grows fast and every memory is a treasure waiting to be remembered.
