Continuando mi recorrido por la franja costera de Cumaná, los invito a visitar la Cruz de Caigüire. Este popular monumento, ubicado en la playa del sector de Caigüire, se utiliza para las celebraciones tradicionales de mayo. Desde este punto, se puede apreciar la playa, un pequeño muelle de pescadores y puestos de artesanía. El monumento cuenta con bancos de concreto decorados con figuras de cerámica, un sendero central con la cruz a un lado y más bancos de concreto al otro. El camino que conduce a la cruz también está decorado con figuras de cerámica. Detrás de la cruz, hay una cerca de troncos de madera pintados de blanco y azul, jardineras, senderos verdes y diversas plantas ornamentales.
La vista de la playa desde este lugar es hermosa, y las nubes crean un espectáculo impresionante en el cielo, invitando a relajarse y contemplar el paisaje marino.

Continuing my tour along the coastal strip in Cumaná, I invite you to join me in visiting the Caigüire Cross. This popular monument, located on the beach in the Caigüire sector, is used for traditional celebrations in May. From this vantage point, you can see the beach, a small fishermen's pier, and artisan kiosks. The monument features concrete benches decorated with ceramic cutouts, a central walkway with the cross on one side, and more concrete benches on the other. The path leading to the cross is also decorated with ceramic cutouts. Behind the cross, there is a fence made of wooden logs painted white and blue, planters, green walkways, and various ornamental plants.
The view of the beach from this spot is beautiful, and the clouds create a stunning spectacle in the sky, inviting you to relax and contemplate the seascape.
Observando de cerca el monumento en forma de cruz, se aprecia que descansa sobre una base circular. El círculo inferior es más grande y el superior, más pequeño. También se distinguen detalles del paseo central, con sus decoraciones blancas y recortes de cerámica. El suelo a los lados es verde, seguido de una franja de tierra donde se ubican los bancos. Desde otra perspectiva, vemos los bancos a la izquierda, la playa y el paseo rocoso característico de esta zona costera. Varias embarcaciones de pesca también se encuentran en la playa. La comunidad de Caigüire es conocida por su actividad pesquera en el municipio, y el pescado fresco se distribuye entre sus habitantes.
En la orilla, además de las rocas mencionadas, en su mayoría negras, hay algunas ramas de árboles arrastradas por las olas que se acumulan en la playa. From another view, we see the benches on the left, the beach, and the rocky walkway characteristic of this coastal area. Several boats used for fishing are also located on the beach. The community of Caigüire is known for its fishing activity in the municipality, and fresh fish is distributed within the community.
On the beach shore, in addition to the aforementioned rocks, which are mostly black, there are some tree branches that are dragged by the waves and accumulate on the shore. In the following photograph, we have a complete view of the monument, the side fence, the benches, the walkways, and the plants located in front. The planters are circular, each with a shrub and small ornamental plants at the bottom. The benches are located on concrete slabs painted green, as are the side walkways.
Tras terminar mi visita al monumento de la cruz, tomé el sendero de la playa, caminé entre las rocas y, al caer la tarde, me senté cerca de un barco a contemplar el mar, las olas y disfrutar del paisaje. La vista es increíble y relajante. Visitar esta zona fue una experiencia muy agradable. Me gustó la playa y el hermoso paisaje. Las olas eran suaves y tranquilas. La costa de Cumaná en esta zona ofrece un paisaje encantador. La mayoría de las casas tienen fácil acceso a la playa; muchas incluso la tienen justo en el patio trasero.
After finishing my tour of the cross monument, I took the beach path, walked along the rocks, and as evening fell, I sat near a boat watching the sea, the waves, and enjoying the scenery. The view is incredible and relaxing. Visiting this area was a pleasant experience. I liked the beach and the beautiful landscape. The waves were gentle and calm. The Cumaná coast in this area offers enchanting scenery. Most of the houses in the area have easy access to the beach; many even have the beach right in their backyard.

i love how you described sitting by the boat as the sun dipped, the calm waves made the whole place feel like a hidden gem. the way you mention houses with the bech in their backyards really hits home, reminds me of some spots near Bangalore where we can just step out onto sand. that peaceful vibe is exactly what we all need after crunching numbers all day, its' like a mini vacation for the soul :)
