Visiting Pubbar River At Jubbal, Himachal Pradesh And Reliving Childhood Memories

Radhe Radhe Everyone!
Hope y'all are doing great 👍

Today's blog is about my recent visit to one of my favorite place at my hometown Jubbal, Himachal Pradesh India. I havi lots of childhood memories related to it and finally I got chance to share it with you guy's. To be more precise this place is located on a small town Kuddu at Jubbal. I have spent most of my childhood here and this place is close to my hear.

Old Wooden Bridge Over Pubbar River

There is this river called Pubbar and it has an old wooden bridge which connects people of two opposite sides and connects many villagers to town. Years ago, when there used to be no roads, this was the main pathway or trail evrybody used to go to different villages and towns. But now, as newly roads are constructed, and our village is now connected to roar.I don't think anyone use this pathway anyone. To discover more about it and to relive my childhood memories I went there along with my friends.I had an amazing experience.

During childhood me , along with my family used to come here every sunday to enjoy the afternoon and to swim. And there was a great memory linked to this place,so my cousin sister Rohini, she was seven at that time and we all came here for a swim with whole family. We all went closer to the river and she was with famiy sitting and watching us. Everyone was doing their stuff and suddenly we noticed here near the bank of the river and she jumped into it. She was a child and she thought she could swim like others but the was about to drown. By God's grace sad saw her and he ran to help and took her out safely. After that our family stopped coming here and restricted us to do the same. And here I'm finally enjoying the view again.

This time I decided not to swim as cause of some recent development, a dam has been constructed here about 10 kilometres away which holds lots of water and they can leave water anytime which leads to the heavy water flow.

IMG-20250507-WA0072.jpg

These are some of the pictures I have taken and I can tell you after the construction if dam the water level has significantly dropped to 60 percent. Sometimes I think we are achieving great heights by constructing hydro projects but they also have lots of drawback. Do let me know about your opinion on this in the comments.

I spotted lots of animals along the bank of river mostly cattles, it was joy to see them there driving water and eating grass. The day was pleasant and the fresh air was helping me to cool down. For the records I have taken all these pictures myself and mine pictures are taken by my friend.

After enjoying the view we decided to go for a walk along the bank of river and I spotted some really good pebbles and then decide to take them home. One of my friend suggested that it's not a great idea and it's not considered auspicious to take them home, so decided to play with them.

IMG-20250507-WA0067.jpg

We started throwing them in water as far as we can, it was such a joyful activity and we enjoyed a lot. From very beginning to the very end until I was there I didn't touched my phone. I was so busy looking around, finding the best stone and watching cattles. I realized going out is best thing one should do, it will help you to chill, relax and help you to come out off your phone.

Here are some of my pictures, posing for you guys. Well I have keen interest in photography as well as modeling, but i'm not sure if I can really do it.

IMG-20250507-WA0066.jpg

Here ia a picture of my friend sitting at a distance and answering a very important call leaving all of us. Can you guys give a wild guess, who called him? Do let me know in the comments.

I can't tell you the exact depth of the river but which roaming I realized the river is really deep at point, the depth varies along with course. Pubbar river originates from the chandarnahan lake which is at Dhauladhar range in Rohru Shimla. It passes through Hatkoti, Rohtu and eventually merges into Tons river at Uttarakhand. Well it was a great day and I enjoyed it to the fullest. We also went on the old bridge and took pictures of cattles. I'll share more about it in my upcoming blog. Hope you enjoyed.

Thank you so much for reading.

Today's trip taught me a lot and I enjoyed it immensely. This river is shaped by the extraordinary weather and natural beauty. It looks wonderful. I enjoyed it immensely. Such images and the fact that childhood memories are being reminisced here is truly extraordinary. We still find a lot of happiness in life because of such feelings. Anyway, best wishes to you.

This is quite a departure from the image I have of India with overcrowded cities! My partner @cvnuitter who has been wanting to travel to your beautiful country for years will love it! I know we will at some point. I like the peace that is breathed in the graphics. Great post 🤌🏼
