Walking in the hills of Cladova (Romania) in search of the first signs of spring
Hello travelers
In the last few days here in the west of Romania we've had some beautiful spring weather, even if it's quite early according to the date on the calendar, the beautiful weather and the increased temperatures have led to the first signs that nature wants to come back to life.
I don't know if it's good or not that spring is coming earlier this year but I for one am glad that I can take nature walks again.
If spring is knocking at the door and with it nature comes back to life, an amazing phenomenon, I knew from past years that in the hills in the west of the country the arrival of spring comes with the first brightly colored flowers, so at the end of the week (Friday) that just ended I got in the car and drove through the hills in the area in search of the first signs of spring.
Honestly I was a bit skeptical however we are still in March a bit too early to find any signs, searching a bit on the internet and my attention was drawn to an interesting piece of information, the mountain fields full of crocuses, my god the crocus are so beautiful and I saw that tourists have started to hunt these places, as far as I know crocus here in Romania are protected by law so it is not allowed to harvest them.
I'd love to be able to see with my own eyes those fields full of crocuses, but those areas are quite far away from me and it takes me more than a day to do that.
But until then let's go back to the hills in western Romania, by car we went as far as we could, very lightly equipped for a walk in the forest, initially we decided to go along a river, because of the very low rainfall the water was very low in some places the river was dry, in places where there was water we could see the tracks of wild animals that most likely came to drink water.
It was so nice to be hit in the face by the cold air as we walked along the river, but the only sounds we could hear in the forest, the chirping of birds and the rustling of dry leaves as we walked, were like something out of a fairy tale.
After a while we decided to go up the river to the forest road and continue our walk there, and surprise, after about a kilometer the first signs of spring began to appear, even if it is a bit early we enjoyed the first colorful flowers and I am convinced that in the coming days if the weather continues to be good the hills will be colored.
Dear visitors, I hope that our walk in the hills of western Romania will inspire you to take nature walks.
THE END!

I heard a lot about Romania, the weather is very good there. But hiking inside the forest is very eerie for me. LOL
Romania has many amazing places, you brought up hiking in the forest, you know, we have here in Romania a forest called Hoia Baciu and it's in Cluj county, it's the only forest where UFOs are supposed to have landed and where strange things have happened.
In the area where the UFO landed, all the trees seem to have fallen.
Locals are afraid to enter this forest, even their pets won't let them enter the forest because they will never return home.
You can realize that I couldn't help but visit this place myself and I entered this forest with the thought of finding the place where those UFOs landed, I was curious to see how the trees in the forest moved out of the way of the UFO.
Apparently no one knew the exact location, others were afraid to talk about it, but we took the forest at walking pace, believe me, inside the forest, after walking more than a kilometer, the forest became really scary.Something was there, something was going on, and after more than 2 kilometers we gave up and went back to the car.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Very beautiful wild area, fun to spend some time there. Amazing Photography
