Leaning 🌴 Tree Maasin River Siargao

It's amazing how God granted my wish way back years ago. One of the many places I wanted to experience in Siargao is the famous leaning coconut tree in Maasin River. I am way beyond bless to be able to witness the beautiful and enchanting river. We were indeed lucky that days before leaning coconut tree gave up, we were able to lean and pose there. We were a bit saddened by the news when we saw it in Facebook that the famous leaning tree finally fell down 3 days after our visit.

A memory that we will always remember. Looking back at the photos and comparing it to the uploaded photos in Siargao pages where the leaning tree is gone already.

Anyways, the river is still beautiful though. There are still a lot of coconut trees all over and you can still ride at their bamboo raft for photo op only you just have to pay additional 20 pesos. If you wish to ride their paddle boat it is also possible but you have to pay 600 pesos good for 3 person, on top of the 100pesos/person entrance fee. There were a lot of staff that will guide you through and will take photos too. Lucky enough, the one that assisted us is really good with taking pictures. We gave her tip as well for doing a job well done.

We weren't able to experience the paddle boat though aside from the rain, it seems a little pricey, that's why we just settled with the bamboo raft for photo op purposes. We were laughing when the three boys stood up in the raft because it almost drowned. What a beautiful memory right? :)

Since it was raining a little when we went there, the guys went swimming as the water was so inviting. It was a happy day for all of us and we can't wait to go back already this June perhaps? 😉
