St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague (22 photos)

Hello everyone!

After many posts from various places visited during the trip to the Czech Republic, it's time for a post related to its main goal, i.e. Prague. We had only 5 days for the whole trip, and we started by car from the vicinity of Szczecin, so we also lost a lot of time on the route itself. We spent one whole day visiting Prague, which is not much for this city. So we had to limit ourselves to only a few popular places of this city. One of such places is, of course, Prague Castle. In terms of the area of land that this complex occupies, it is the largest in the world.

Po wielu postach z różnych miejsc odwiedzonych podczas wycieczki do Czech przyszedł czas na post związany z głównym jej celem, czyli Pragą. Na całą wycieczkę mieliśmy tylko 5 dni, a ruszaliśmy samochodem z okolic Szczecina, więc sporo czasu straciliśmy też na samą trasę. Na zwiedzenie Pragi przeznaczyliśmy jeden cały dzień, czyli niewiele jak na to miasto. Tak więc musieliśmy ograniczyć się tylko do kilku popularnych miejsc tego miasta. Jednym z takich miejsc jest oczywiście Zamek Praski. Pod względem powierzchni terenu, jaki zajmuje ten kompleks, jest on największy na świecie.

Uważam, że najciekawszym obiektem zamku jest katedra Świętego Wita. Widok na katedrę od strony północnej z miejsca poza terenem zamku.

Its construction began in the mid-fourteenth century and lasted almost 600 years until the beginning of the twentieth century (1929). In the upper right photo is a view of the cathedral from the east.

Jej budowa rozpoczęła się w połowie XIV wieku i trwała niemal 600 lat do początku XX wieku (1929 rok). Na górnym zdjęciu z prawej strony jest widok katedry od strony wschodniej.

As you can see from the photos, it is a tourist attraction for a large number of people. To take some photos I had to wait a while until some people disappeared from the frame.

Jak widać na zdjęciach jest ona atrakcją turystyczną dla dużej liczby osób. Aby wykonać niektóre zdjęcia musiałem chwilę poczekać aż niektóre osoby znikną mi z kadru.

Standing against the wall of another building, I did not manage to cover the entire cathedral in the photo. A lens with a wider angle of view would be useful.

Stojąc pod ścianą innego budynku nie udało mi się objąć całej katedry na zdjęciu. Przydałby się obiektyw z szerszym kątem widzenia.

Due to the limited time for sightseeing, the cathedral was the only object that we also visited inside. Actually, we only entered the free part of the cathedral, to visit it all, you need to buy a ticket.

Ze względu na ograniczony czas na zwiedzanie katedra była jedynym obiektem, który zwiedziliśmy również wewnątrz. Właściwie to weszliśmy tylko do darmowej części katedry, aby zwiedzić ją całą, należy wykupić bilet.
