At 'Purbachal Blue Lake'.

This lake park is a fascinating place for refreshment near the bustling capital- Dhaka. It's just a few kilometers away from the town but feels like we reach the rural area. The surrounding is almost empty, enclosed by the huge freshwater lake.

The place is popular for Kayaking and Boat riding. That was our reason to visit there too. But, that didn't happen because of the unpredictable monsoon rain.

Purbachal Blue Lake is not a very famous place. We were been to a nearby place called the 'expo zone' for some official work and thought to visit this place as a bonus. There's nothing much to see. But if you are a nature lover and have an adventurous mind, then this is the right destination for you.

People usually come here for Kayaking and Boat riding. But because of the rain, the authority refuses to give us the opportunity, and we accepted it seeing the weather.

There were a few rides in the park, mostly for the kids. The merry-go-round and the kids' train seem pretty exciting. The Ferris wheel attracted us, the adults, the most. We paid for the entrance fees/the ride fees and enjoyed the Ferris wheel. It's been a while, I didn't in such a ride so it was quite an experience for me. I was a bit terrified at the beginning, not gonna lie. But later, I sure enjoyed it.

My son got on all of the kid's rides. The fee was only $.30 so it was a good deal, I would say.

The train ride seems pretty enjoyable but there were not many tourists/kids to ride on the train, because of the bad weather.

It was already running a few drops. But as you may guess, kids can never let go of such a place without having fun!

Also, we too enjoyed a few rides so I wouldn't blame my son fully either. lol

As you can see the sky was terrifying. The storm is coming. We knew we need to find shelter as the place doesn't offer any shed/sitting place for the tourists.

It was raining heavily just after 15 minutes. There were a few street/temporary restaurants, they offered us shelter and sitting places. We waited there for a few minutes and in the meantime enjoyed the scary weather.

Fortunately, the monsoon rain doesn't continue for very long. So after a few minutes, we took our car to come back home. Nature became so refreshing after the rain.

It was quite an experience there. The rain, family fun, the rides; everything will be in our memory for a long period. It was a refreshing adventure sore sure.
