CONOCE SAN PEDRO DEL RÍO|MEET SAN PEDRO DEL RIO[ESP/ENG]

¡HELLO MUNDITO!
¡Besos y abrazos!

I hope you all have a nice day, no matter what time you read this article.
Today I want to show you a magical place called San Pedro del Río.
San Pedro del Río is an Andean town of colonial architecture located 45 minutes from the capital of the state of Táchira, between the towns of Lobatera and Colón. It is characterised for being a tourist town of stone streets, full of Andean customs, typical food, desserts, drinks and handicrafts.
Its streets are full of shops where they sell handicrafts and inns created by the inhabitants themselves for the enjoyment of the tourists who bring life to this jewel of Táchira. The activities offered by this town are diverse, such as safe hikes throughout the town, walks to the outer areas where you can do extreme tourism, visits to restaurants, horseback riding and quad biking.
The origins of this town go back to 1840 and at that time it had the name of Rio de las Casas, because near its houses a tributary river passed by, but later they changed its name to the first name of San Pedro and of the river to the creek called ‘lobaterita’.
With the passing of time and in order to maintain the colonial style, certain rules have arisen within the village, such as the fact that the houses are only allowed to be painted white, and the colour of the skirting boards and window and door frames can vary between green, brown and blue.
In the centre of the village you can find the Plaza Bolivar and the church where a saman tree gives shade to the whole place.
A curious fact about this town is that the electrical wiring is underground so that the view is not distorted and the colonial style is maintained.
Getting to San Pedro del Río is quite easy and the road is very friendly, full of beautiful landscapes. If you haven't visited this place, I recommend it for all members of the family.
I read you in the comments, do you dare to visit the colonial area of Táchira?
Kisses and hugs!
